Guestbook comments from the owner

My wife, son 13, daughter 11, daughter 5, Mother-in-law and I stayed here for 1 week. It was a delight. Angela and Elisa are wonderful hosts. We arrived a bit early and Elisa was quick to accommodate us. We quickly figured out our way around using the Rome Transit system. City blocks are short in Rome in comparison to city blocks in USA. Both stops are really a short walk. The most convenient is the green tram that drops you off in Largo Argentina, a transit hub for many routes. The nice thing is that we were so close to everything yet in a family quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the center of Rome. We were very comfortable in our apartment and as a chef I can tell you the kitchen works well. We would go to the local market to pick up fresh meats, fruits and vegetables and I would cook just about every night. It was relaxing, we would go sightseeing during the day and arrived tired in the evening to a quiet home. It was great for Mother-in-law since she does not do stairs that well. Figuring out the transit system and eating where the locals eat is the key to a great time in Rome. Angela and Elisa's charm really makes one want to write a wonderful review. They went the distance to make our stay wonderful. I used to stay in Piazza Navona but realized this neighborhood is better. Elisa, I threw my coin inside Trevi fountain that means we will be back to Casa Glorioso :-). Alex

Great neighborhood location, close but not too close.

  • 5 of 5

Cozy basement apartment (but still lots of room to spread out) that feels like it's in a neighborhood, not a tourist district. Good restaurants within walking distance, the sights are a tram ride or a bus ride away. The most comfortable bed so far in a 2 week trip. Zippy wifi, super quiet with the windows closed (there's AC).

Great stay in Rome!

Elisa made our check in very easy and was very accommodating! The apartment was as described and a great fit for our family of three. The AC was wonderful as it was quite hot in Rome during our stay. The neighbourhood is quiet and an excellent location!

Comfortable, clean apartment in a wonderful area of Rome.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 just spent 2 nights in this apartment and found it to be very convenient and comfortable. Elisa was great to communicate with in advance and helped us to set up transportation to and from the airport. We were supposed to spend 3 nights but our flights were cancelled. Since the apartment wasn't booked the night we were supposed to leave, Elisa offered to give us that night to make up for the night we missed ... very nice! The location is wonderful ... Trastevere is a lively neighborhood with lots of great restaurants. And it was easy to take the tram into the center of Rome. Being on the first floor there was some noise from street traffic, but we closed the windows to sleep and turned on the A/C ... so no problems. I would highly recommend this apartment ... for the comfort, convenience of the neighborhood, and for Elisa's great hospitality. We all hope to return to Rome! Grazie, Elisa!

My wife and I spend five days in Rome and decided to stay at Trastevere.

The apartment is in great condition, very clean and had everything we needed. It has a very convenient location as it is close to amazing places and a couple of blocks from public transportation.

Elisa is very nice and made the check in, stay and check out process an effortless experience.

Highly recommended!!!

Great stay outside the hustle of Rome, but close enough to everything

  • 5 of 5

This is a great, comfortable home. Each night I walked up the steps right by the house and up the hill (short 15 minute walk) for, in my opinion, the best views of Rome up Janiculum Hill.

The house is in the quaint Travestere neighborhood and within a short 2-3 block walk, you are wandering the wonderful alley ways of Travestere.

The mother/daughter owners were great to deal with and met us immediately upon arrival to answer any questions we had.

The surrounding neighborhood is awesome and within walking distance to everything -- Coliseum (20 mins); Vatican 20-25 minutes; Pantheon 20-minutes. Literally near everything.

We were 4 staying in the house, there wasn't a ton of extra elbow room, but it was more than adequate and the location was really superb.
