About Ed Foran Owner/Manager

Our family loves coming to Moab to hike, bike and relax. We live in Colorado and it's just a few hours to come from the mountains into the high desert of Moab.

Ed Foran Owner/Manager purchased this condo in 2007

Why Ed Foran Owner/Manager chose Utah

We chose Moab because it is an incredibly beautiful and fun place to be. The red rock scenery, the huge Cottonwoods along the Colorado River (Moab is truly a desert oasis), the history, the quirky small town, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks...Moab is very unique and there's much to do if you enjoy the outdoors.

We snapped up this unit as it was being built because of its downtown location. Moab zoning does not allow nightly rentals in most of downtown, and most condos of this size are far out of town.

What makes this condo unique

Our home comfortably sleeps 8 and comes with a completely equipped kitchen, including a gas grill and outdoor dining area and hot tub.

Great home base for our arches adventures. Roomy. The kids loved the pool during the hottest part of the day!

Wonderful base camp for all your adventures!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Ed's place. Ed was very communicative and the property's manual fills in all necessary blanks. We really enjoyed the living room as a place to relax and unwind at the end of a long day of hiking. 5/5 and we hope to stay here again the future! Thanks Ed!

Nice House, lovely garden - no privacy for the hot tub

  • 3 of 5

Pros: Nice good size & clean house within walking distance of the Main Street, comfy beds & pillows, good bathrooms, lovely garden areas, great sized kitchen & laundry, plenty of extra towels, pillows & blankets. Lovely fire place but it was not cold enough for us to use it. Furnished well, except for one of the couches being very uncomfortable to sit on & the single bed in the lounge room looked like it had just been plonked there. It could bet set up as a day bed rather than just a single bed. It would be so easy to throw a nice blanket/rug/cover over it with nice pillow cases on the pillows so that it looked like a lovely day bed to relax on in the lounge room - A minor issue I know, but it would make a big difference to the ascetics of the house.

Cons: the back fence is really strange in that it is only half size in height so the people who walk down the short cut through the bush behind the house peer right into the yard which is unpleasant if you are in the hot tub, eating dinner outside or in the main bedroom with the curtains open - it really did impact on our sense of privacy & security. The fence really does need to be full height. It would be great if there was a small table situated near the BBQ for eating outside as that area of the garden is lovely & it is close to the kitchen. The BBQ did not appear to have been cleaned for quite some time - we cleaned it before using it. We arrived 45 minutes before check in time which is 5pm & were greeted by a very grumpy man who told us in no uncertain terms that it was not 5 o'clock yet & to come back later. 5 pm is a VERY late check in time & the latest we have ever come across.

Overall, a nice spacious house within walking distance of town, a great hot tub but really does need a full back fence.
