Saranac Lake and Lake Placid are close by and make for a great day trip.
The Wild Center is a natural history museum of the Adirondacks and is located in Tupper Lake which is about an hour from the camp.
Alpine Skiing (Downhill) at Whiteface or Titus and Cross Country skiing right out the front door and at Cascade Cross Country Center (near Lake Placid.)
Macomb Reservation State Park offers a swimming beach, a boat launch site, camper recreation, fishing, hiking, a nature trail, picnic shelter and pavilions, a children's playground, open play areas, recreation programs, campground.
John Brown Farm State Historic Site
John Brown was an abolitionist whose attempt to free the slaves cost him his life and the life of others. The park offers group tours, guided tours, hiking, picnicking, re-enactments, scenic views and interpretive signage.

Golf: It's about 35 minutes to Saranac Lake golf course.
Ski: Whiteface Mountain is about 40 minutes away and so is Titus Mountain. Cascade cross country ski center is between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid and is about 35 minutes from the camp. We have a 2 week minimum in the Winter and have a $150 surcharge for propane on top of the rent. The view from the camp is of Whiteface!!

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook some great meals, except the food of course.
The view from Crusher mountain. It takes 30-45 minutes to get to the top from our front door. It's a very easy hike.

Fishing is fantastic on the lake and there is also trout fishing nearby.
