Overview

About the property

Apartment, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This 120 m2, 3 bedroom apartment belongs to a movie producer. He travels most of his time.

It is a bright apartment (7 large windows) perfectly located, rue Nicolas Flamel, in a quiet and charming pedestrian district in “Le marais”. It is located on the 3rd floor (4th floor to US standards). Design is unique : a mix a glamorous decoration (living room, bedroom, bathroom), British style (office), French café (kitchen), and the classical French Haussmannian style of the original apartment style. Without being luxury, the mixed decoration gives the apartment a lot of charm.

If you are looking for charm, 3 bedrooms, an exceptional location, go for this apt which offers a great deal for money compared to apartments of similar size and locations.

It offers nice views over beautiful French style stone buildings and a suspended garden. The 2 bathrooms are a plus.

As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and australia are generaly free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. More over, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.

Located in a calm and safe street, 1 mn walking distance from the Museum of Modern Art (Beaubourg), it is surrounded with middle age dated narrow streets full of restaurants and shops.

You will find a mix of cultural attractions, hype bars and night life, fancy clothes stores and traditional architecture. The “Seine” is 3 mn walking distance. In summer, enjoy the “Paris plage” attraction when the Seine banks are transformed in sand beaches and cultural attractions (music, sports , events …).

Located in the center of Paris, you will be at 10 mn of most of the interesting spots, using at will the following subway stations: Chatelet, Hotel de Ville, Les Halles.

Last but not least, it is a great deal for the money.

About The Owner

In Beau Paris is a Vacation Rental Agency operating in Paris for more than 10 years.

We manage close to 100 apartments in Paris, all of very good to luxury standard.

We take care of the advertising of apartments, the reservation process from payments to security deposit refund; and even the cleaning and the maintenance of the apartment.

We would be very happy to host you in one of our apartments that you will find on VRBO Listing #26870.

We do very little brand name advertisement. We focus on what matters: MAKING SURE OUR GUESTS ARE SATISFIED (check the reviews on any of our apts. Recent apts do not have reviews yet).

We believe it is the best way to develop our activities which have been growing steadily every year. You are welcome to try our service.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2000

Why The Owner chose Paris Arr. 4 (Marais, Hotel de Ville)

We selected this property because of its perfect location in a charming Marais area and the apartment unique design and brightness.

It is the main residence of the owner. He rents when going to his secondary residence. For a guest, renting a main residence is a warranty of high quality : it is always maintained at top level. Obvioulsy, the owner puts away personal belonging. There is more than enough space available for guests.

WE DO CARE ABOUT PROPERTIES WE MANAGE.

What makes this apartment unique

We know searching for an apartment can be a nightmare :

that is why, from beginning of your search to the end of your stay, you will have REAL PEOPLE INTERACTING WITH YOU, not automatic mailing or automatic booking.

WE ARE PROFESSIONALS.

We answer to each request and send a detailed quote & contract on each request. We believe the instant quote given on the site is not precise enough for a guest to book an apt.

We react fast, be it by mail (often in the hour, max 24h, we have evening shift), Immediatly by phone. Note we do not take booking on the phone nor discuss prices or availability, risk of mistake is too high. E-mail is much more secure & precise. We nevertheless are happy to answer specific questions.

During your stay, we are always available. We can advise you on how to use the apt. We run a night emergency line, for real emergencies :-). When problem arise, we do our best to solve them, quickly.

We want our guest to have the best memories of their stay. We have a high rate of returning guests : it seems they do.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Bonjour. Last year my family and I rented the Flamel apartment from you for the month of September. We all loved it so much! My girls, who are 19 and 17, have fallen in love with Paris and wish to continue to pursue their language study there. We are interested in renting a studio apartment for them for approximately 3 months so that they can attend language school. They would arrive approximately February 1 and stay for approximately 90 days. Our preferred location for them is in the Marais and second, in the Latin Quarter. The school they are planning to attend is in the Marais (actually just around the corner from the Flamel apartment on Blvd de Sebastopol). Would you have any studio apartments available during that time for them? If not, do you have any other ideas for us?

Thank you for your assistance.

Great!!!

  • 4 of 5

It's perfect location, great apartment, so clean.

The only con is that you have to take 3 floors by stairs... With 3 little kids and an old lady... things could get difficult.

We loved our stay in Paris!

A great location to walk almost everywhere

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was certainly spacious enough and in an excellent central location in the Marais close to shopping, the metro and many attractions. While the apartment could use some updating, it certainly was clean and an authentic Parisian apartment. The decor was definitely unique and INBP (the rental agency) was very easy to work with. It is a (US) 4th floor walk up. While not a problem on a daily basis, it was quite difficult with heavy luggage. (The stairs and entry were also being redone, so the construction materials and hanging wires added to the difficulty.) Both showers were good but for some reason the second toilet had no seat and seems to be in need of repair. As stated in previous reviews, the bar/restaurant noise can be quite loud. Mostly, it was confined to random noises when someone passed through the buildings to the street and only occurred until just past midnight , but Friday night it continued until 5 am. There were sufficient supplies in the apartment for cooking and dish washing and such, a washing machine and a drying rack, along with some desktop fans (which were very appreciated since it was hot in Paris during our visit), but beware that some of the chairs are not too sturdy. Overall, I think this was a good choice for the price, location and the charm, and I would stay here again.

location, location, location

  • 3 of 5

The location of the apartment is great. That said, while you are within easy walking distance of several major tourist sites (Louvre, Notre Dame, Pompidou, etc), it is noisy late into the night/early morning especially if it is warm and the windows are open. The apartment itself is spacious (6 adults) and clean with a lot of period charm although it is showing its age in some respects. The furniture is a strange mix of very old and very new. One chair had broken armrests. The kitchen is pretty functional although the single-serve coffeemaker did not function properly and the small food area had a deposit of black particulate material on all surface on the last morning, apparently coming from a vent above. The one bathroom (ensuite) that contained sink, tub and toilet had a seatless toilet that we were advised should not be used with toilet paper. This was to be discarded in the waste basket. We managed. The other 2 facilities consisted of a room with sink and shower conveniently located between 2 of the bedrooms and a fully functioning water closet in a corner of the kitchen.

The stairway was a dusty mess as work was being done but this should not be a permanent situation.

Loved the location but probably would not stay here again.

Owner's Response: Hi Karen, Thanks for your review and nice to know you found the apartment to be in a great location, spacious and clean, with a lot of period charm. Indeed the apartment is not perfect and its price takes it in account. It is rented approximately 50% under the price of an apartment that would be perfect. We do inform in the description and think that it is still of great value as many of our guests love it despite some drawbacks. Sincerely, Jean

Outdated, cluttered and dirty.

  • 3 of 5

If you are looking for location and size, this is the property for you. If you are looking for cleanliness and comfort, this is NOT the property for you. The furniture is all very worn and unstable. They do not provide toilet paper or soap for the bathrooms. There is no toilet seat on the main toilet. The wood floors are dangerous, dirty and uneven. There is so much clutter in this apartment, it is hard to find your own stuff when you set it down. If this apartment was updated and declutted, it would be perfect.

Owner's Response: Hi Jacalynn, Thanks for your review. This apt is a very nice and large place with 3 bedrooms. It is as you say very well located. It is decorated in a very original style and as you can see by previous reviews most of our guests enjoy it a lot. It is clear this apt is not a luxury apt (week price would then be 3500€/week). We do not position it as such, just consider the price level. We call it and advertise it as an "artist apt". Practically, the 2nd toilet has no missing seat. It is manufactured without as it is of small size. It was added to add convenience. It should be considered a 2nd toilet. The wood floors are typical of Haussmannian period apartments. As a previous reviewer wrote: “Yes, the apartment is older and a bit eccentric, but the value was great.” Do not hesitate to ask us for a more modern style apartment for a next stay, we will gladly propose you one. Thanks for your feedback, Jean

Fabulous apartment in a great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 adults loved this spacious apartment. Very easy to walk everywhere from here. We loved coming "home" to rest in between adventures with lots of space in the living room and study and bedrooms to spread out. Kitchen and bathrooms were perfectly fine. Myriam was very responsive to our needs. Can't wait to go back!!!

Fantastic location for the major sites

  • 5 of 5

Family of 5, 3 children under 12 years old. An amazing location for this quirky, typical, old Parisienne apartment - walking distance to Louvre, Notre Dame and Pompidou centre and Chatelet Metro/RER within 5 minutes walk. A selection of local bars/restaurants by the entrance, but didn't have a problem with noise. Well stocked local supermarket and a boulangerie 2 minutes walk away. The apartment owner responded quickly to questions and arranged a late check-in through the very helpful and friendly housekeeper. Would definitely stay again.
