About the Property
Townhome, 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
This charming 3 bedroom, 3 ½ bath townhome is located next to the shoreline of beautiful Lake DeSoto in Hot Springs Village, America’s largest gated community. You can stroll or jog along the DeSoto Trail that follows the shoreline of the lake; every season provides fresh views and woodland color. Nearby WayPoint/DeSoto Marina rents kayaks and canoes and has a new breakfast/lunch feature and a gourmet coffee shop. DeSoto golf course is a cart drive away. Overall, the Village offers 9 golf courses, 12 lakes, 3 swimming beaches, an indoor pool and fitness center that includes an indoor walking track, 16 tennis courts, 2 country clubs, and over 20 miles of nature trails.
A weekly rental earns a free night, so 7 nights for the cost of six! Active Duty Military receive a 10% discount.
The townhome includes 1700 square feet of living area on two levels. It easily accommodates six guests; a master bedroom with king size bed, a second with queen bed, and a third with two twin beds, all with ample closet space. Quality bedding and linens are furnished and ready for your visit.
The living room features a wide view of sparkling Lake DeSoto and shady Castellon Cove Park; floor to ceiling windows slide open to the balcony for a closer look. The opposite wall of windows opens to a ground-level wood deck to enjoy outdoor grilling and conversation around the patio table. The modern kitchen includes a laundry room with washer and dryer. A convenient half bath is located next to the living area.
The master bathroom features a new marble and glass shower enclosure. The second full bath with jetted tub has been recently renovated and is located next to the queen and twin-bed bedrooms. A third bathroom is found in the entry-level garage (electric garage-door opener), convenient for swimmers, hikers, boaters and fishermen after an active day. The garage level also has a mini-kitchen with sink for cleaning fish and stowing sports equipment.
Tranquil and well-maintained Castellon Cove is a friendly neighborhood with a shared gazebo, picnic tables, charcoal grills and fishing benches just steps away from the townhome. Ideally located, you are a five minute drive from the Hot Springs Village West Gate at Hwy 7; convenient restaurants and shopping are nearby. Travel south on Hwy 7 to the historic town of Hot Springs and visit the restored hot spring spas, enjoy Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, rent bicycles, view the breathtaking Garvin Gardens, cheer the winners at Oaklawn Race Track, visit the changing displays at the Mid America Science Museum, and engage in many other activities the area has to offer.
Drive north on Hwy 7 to find fishing, hiking, scuba diving, boating, and water skiing at Ouachita State Park (20 minutes), drive to the top of the dam that created its enormous 40,000 acre lake; mine your own quartz crystals at the summit of a mountain, and explore country roads with stunning displays of autumn color.
Visitors are amazed at the variety of activities available in such serene and restful surroundings and return again and again.

Located close to the West Gate of scenic Hot Springs Village, the townhouse is a hub for day trips for hiking the Ouachita mountains, bird watching (including bald eagles), advanced water sports, and diamond and crystal mining. Local highways and rural roads are well known favorites of motorcycle and bike riders.

About the owner: Our family home is in New Orleans and we visited Hot Springs Village many times to enjoy the cooler weather and changing seasons. We love New Orleans but find that the beautiful Ouachita Mountains and lakes have much to offer as well.
Why the Owner Chose Hot Springs Village, AR, USA:
We longed for a vacation home in the Village, with a view of Lake DeSoto and a serene neighborhood, yet close to other activities in the town of Hot Springs and the beautiful state parks. We found the ideal Village location here in Castellon Cove.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Larger group? Looking for more room? The rear deck is just steps away from another townhouse that, together, may be able to accomodate your entire group. Check your dates on the Availability Calendars for VRBO properties #249092 (this one) and #358592.
