Quite possibly the best house in PTown
The Hollyhock House is a beautifully-restored historical gem in the center of everything. The owners, Peter and John, couldn't be sweeter or more accommodating.
With four good-sized bedrooms, and five (yes, five) bathrooms, you can be sure everyone will be comfortable and be scrubbed-and-ready for whatever festivities your day brings in this magical place.
It's probably one of the most well-appointed rentals I've seen, the kitchen especially has everything you could possibly need. I love this place! Book it early though, since it's one of the most popular rentals in PTown, you can be sure you're not the only one interested.
A down town charmer!
Hollyhock House, an antique Cape in the heart of Provincetown. When you walk in the door you feel the history of family's past. Lovingly restored and impeccably decorated, there is no doubt the owners have dedicated themselves to this quaint and charming property. Well appointed accommodations that leave you yearning to return. Every room having a private bath was just the icing on the cake. A safe harbor in the middle of down town.
Absolutely beautiful home
Peter the owner was a pleasure to work with, the property is in a wonderful location, easy walk to all the attractions. Can't wait to come back and visit again.
Was a pleasure having you and your group at our property and we would welcome you back anytime. Thank you for being such good stewards of our rental.
Hospitality at its best!
My first trip to Ptown left me absolutely speechless and it started with the impeccable Hollyhock House, I gathered up some of my sisters friends for her bachelorette party and the house is set up so great for big groups, everyone has their own bedroom and their own bathroom! Peter and John were absolutely fabulous, very hospitable and welcoming. They had all the essentials you'd need when renting a house, I've been to some rentals where they don't have anything and even ask you to bring toilet paper and paper towels, this was not the case here at the Hollyhock house, the entire home had everything you'd need for a great weekend away with friends. Amazing home, even better location, could not have asked for a better weekend thanks to the Hollyhock House, we'll absolutely be back!
Sublime Hollyhock house vacation
There are not enough superlatives in the OED to define our experience at the Hollyhock House. The hosts are genuinely hospitable, the lush gardens are teeming with beauty, the kitchen (stocked with staples for cooking)is a dream come true, the period house retains its 1780s feel with all the technical modern conveniences, the 5 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms were a godsend, the precisely ironed bedsheets were a taste of old world luxury, and the location —including ample parking—was spot on for exploring the hubbub while having a sense of privacy with a ample private outdoor space. Well done, Peter and John, well done.
Beautiful, a tasteful blend of old and new
My friends and I stayed at Hollyhock House for New Years Eve weekend and it was a privilege! We were all charmed instantly upon walking into the door. The owners, who are just delightful, were there to greet us and answer any questions. The house itself was spacious and immaculately kept. What struck us in particular was that the aspects one most wants to be modern (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.) were, but the colonial charm was left intact for the living spaces -- a very tasteful and skillful balancing act in terms of renovation. Speaking of bathrooms, there were 5 of them! This allowed the entire household to be ready to hit Commercial Street (a very short walk) at the same time.
We also were surprised about how well-appointed the house was. Oftentimes you arrive at a vacation rental and the next stop is the store to get whatever you didn't have the foresight to bring. This is not the case here. They had coffee. They had cream. They had ample supply of wine glasses and champagne flutes. They even had extra ice! We had a very positive experience and if you see that this house is available for booking, I strongly urge you to go for it. You'll be glad you did, we certainly were!
