About the property

Centrally located on Oahu's famous North Shore. This private one acre parcel with ocean and mountain views is located just steps from world class snorkeling, scuba diving, and surfing. The property is located across the street from Pupukea Marine Reserve (under water state park) and Shark's Cove tidal ponds (excellent snorkeling and scuba diving).

Tucked behind Foodland, a full service grocery, deli, bakery, with daily sushi chef service along with attached Coffee House. Shark's Cove tidal pond area is across the street with world class snorkeling and diving. This entire area from Waimea Bay including Shark's Cove is an under water state park (Pupukea Marine Reserve). 5-6 minute walk to the first set ofsteps down into Waimea Bay Beach Park at Waimea Bay. On the mountain side of Waimea Bay you have a world class botanical garden and cultural site Waimea Falls Park. Three Tables Beach is a mere 2 minute walk and is one of the safest beaches on the North Shore also an excellent snorkeling spot. The property's central North Shore location is a definite plus for exploring all the North Shore has to offer in either direction. Beach bikes are included with the studio rental and are a great way to explore the North shore at a more leisurely pace. The bikes are especially fun exploring the 6 mile bike path which runs North along world famous beaches--Bonzai Pipeline,Sunset Beach and many others. Boogie boards are also included with the unit as are beach chairs, an umbrella and plenty of beach towels.

The studio is located on the first floor of a large residence, it is totally self contained and unconnected from the rest of the residence . There is plenty of privacy and peace and quiet but the surf can be heard especially at night when it is quiet. The patio area outside the studio is walled off, covered, with a cedar bench, bistro table with two chairs, two beach bicycles kept in good repair . There is a Weber gas grill and a small charcoal Weber available for beach grilling. The 700 sq. ft.studio itself is fully insulated, spacious and airy with two 54 inch ceiling fans and 3 large windows. The studio flooring is 18" x 18" inch Travertine tile with 4" travertine baseboards throughout. Exotic tropical hardwood doors and trim, custom stone vanity and kitchen counter-top. The shower is very large and is done in porcelain tile. The studio is private, comfortable, cool, quiet with a well equipped kitchen.

World class golf courses, spa, and horseback riding are available 7 miles from property at Turtle Bay Hilton Resort.

Optimum North Shore Rental

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed six nights at this great place, so perfectly located on the mid-North Coast. Being tucked away just behind the Foodland store is a remarkably positive benefit with excellent food vans also within easy walking distance. The property is immaculately clean, very comfortable and cleverly designed. The bathroom is a treat and overall the place is well equipped with a good tv and reliable and consistent wifi. The bikes were well maintained and were fun to ride along the bike path in both directions. The easy walks to Shark Cove and other beaches make this an ideal location for a relaxed holiday in a pretty chilled out environment. Lynette is a generous and unobtrusive host. We can highly recommend this property as a totally opposite but wonderfully complementary experience to the Waikiki vacation style.

LOVED IT AND CANT WAIT TO GO BACK

  • 5 of 5

Lynette is so sweet and accommodating. Her place is really nice and clean. stocked with everything you will need. location is fantastic. From umbrellas by the door, locked key holders, bikes, boogie boards, plenty of bath and beach towels, hair dryer etc she has thought of everything. Lynette has lived in Hawaii a long time and has a lot of knowledge about Oahu. She was a great resource and it was a pleasure getting to know her. My cousin and I had a blast here. thanks so much! Ill be back!

The Perfect Hideaway for Couples

  • 5 of 5

Lynette's "Pristine Hideaway" was a perfect place to stay for my husband and I. The granny unit is simply charming, and it had everything we needed: kitchen ware, well stocked pantry, beach gear and towels, BBQ, and bicycles . We had so much fun riding the bikes provided along the coast line. This gem is right across the street from the best snorkeling on the island. The sunsets were truly beautiful. Lynette was the perfect hostess. She is friendly, warm, and inviting... not to mention the adorable Maggie (her dog) and friendly kitty, which made us feel right at home. We took a drive out to Turtle Bay, and I was SO glad that we chose Lynette's place instead. I have recommended this sweet spot to a few of my friends who are thinking of traveling to Oahu. I would gladly book this little retreat again. Thank you so much Lynette for making our short stay so wonderful! Aloha and Mahalo!

5 STAR ACCOMMODATIONS

  • 5 of 5

What beautiful and CLEAN accommodations! Definitely worthy of a 5***** hotel rating. Lynette was a gracious host, encouraging us to simply ask if anything was missing in the suite. We didn't need to do so! A perfect location. We simply had to walk a short distance to get to the beach. Towels, beach chairs and a parasol were available. Nightly sunsets were gorgeous.

The bicycles were a real treat, permitting us to toot along the bicycle path all the way to Ted's Bakery where - yes - we tried the famous chocolate and haupia pie.

The studio is located right next to Foodland and several food trucks which served up wonderful meals.

We were there for four nights, and ought to have planned for several more as there is much to see and do. The North coast is quiet outside of the surfing season, so make sure you plan your evening meals. You can make use of the fully-equipped kitchen at the studio. There are few restaurants in the area, so verify the food trucks' opening hours just to make sure.

We would definitely go back. Thanks Lynette!

Great location. Great time.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a wonderful nine days here. Was going to split North Shore with Waikiki but didn't want to spend $40 a night to park a car in Waikiki so booked North Shore for the entire trip. Glad to do the whole trip staying in North Shore with short day trips to Pearl Harbor, Waikiki, Diamond Head, and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Loved snorkeling when the swells were down. Turtle Bay Resort was nice to visit but better to stay here at Shark's Cove with a grill and kitchen with beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. Food trucks near Turtle Bay Resort were good but we found the Shark's Cove Food trucks to be even better. Loved going on about a 6 mile round trip bike ride almost every morning from Shark's Cove past Pipeline beaches and back. Turtle Beach is close by. Being able to walk so close to get to Foodland was nice and RedBox made DVD rental easy and dirt cheap. Wonderful, kind, thoughtful host who responds quickly to any questions via phone or text. Relaxing and a wonderful place to stay.
