About Connie and Chris

We are proud to call this cabin ours! We take pride in giving each guest a great stay. Our 3 grown children and their families visit the cabin as often as we do! We raised our family in Northern Virginia but we now call Southern Virginia home. I love to hike, especially Mt LeConte (check our facebook page for pictures of that hike) and run the trails of Gatlinburg along the river.

Connie and Chris purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Connie and Chris chose East

We absolutely love the Smokey Mountains and have always felt called to come back each time we visited. We decided to have the best of both worlds, having a place we could stay and also provide a warm and inviting cabin for others to feel just as much at home as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is made to feel like home in the mountains!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed the fall activities closeby, went to the Christmas shop, outlets, and ate awesome food at the Old Mill and The Apple Barn. We even had time for a little hiking outside Gatlinburg. Cabin was decorated beautiful for the fall season, we enjoyed sitting on the rear deck in the cool air and just having some much needed quiet time. Lots of upgrades done at the cabin that are not in the pictures yet! Had a great time.

My favorite so far

  • 5 of 5

I have been vacationing with my family here for about 15 years. This was by far my favorite place we have stayed. The cabin was clean. The view was amazing and it was not far from the attractions. It does take a little time to get used to the tiny driveway and the best way to park but that was not a problem.

Very pleased with this stay

  • 5 of 5

WE were very please with this stay. Great for our 3 kids and us (2 adults)! Very convenient location and clean (my biggie!), The kids loved the "game room".

We would definitely visit again and Connie was always quick to respond to messages.

My only suggestion would be to have a bigger bed in the second bedroom. Since the bunks are in the master, we wanted to stay in the smaller bedroom which also only has a full-sized bed.

Mattress was VERY comfortable though! Lots of extra blankets, all we needed in the kitchen, enough parking for 2 cars and again, nice and clean!

This adorable cabin is in the perfect location to enjoy all that Pigeon Forge has to offer!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed staying in this adorable cabin. It's small but with the addition of the bunk beds it could comfortably sleep 6, if not 8. The location is perfect, so close to everything Pigeon Forge has to offer. It is well-stocked with enough towels for us to shower as well as enjoy the hot tub every night. What a great way to unwind after a day of fun than to gaze up at the stars from the warmth of the hot tub on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked with things we ended up needing but didn't bring such as Ziploc bags. It saved us an extra trip to the grocery store! Driving around the area gave us an idea of just how close the fires came to this cabin a few months ago. What a relief it must have been that this little gem was spared. Our kids are already asking when we can come back and I think we might just do that!

This is just a perfect place to get away to the area.

  • 5 of 5

Hot tub is always clean and wonderful. The cabin itself is by far one of the nicest places we have ever stayed, and just so comfortable. We always end our day with, "let's go home", meaning the cabin; and it's always sad to have to really leave and go home. Until next year!!

Tennessee Trip

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time! Loved the back porch. The house was away from downtown but close enough that it was an easy drive to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountain Park. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable.

Very clean!

  • 4 of 5

This was our first trip to Tennessee. Overall good trip, other than our 2 year old being sick. The cabin is very nice and well cared for, very clean. Had everything we needed and more. Only complaints we have was the parking but can't expect much more for a cabin that's on the side of the mountain, no cover over the hottub, and only a queen bed. Overall good experience. Don't know if we would stay here again or not, we would like a cabin that has that real cabin feel, with the high ceilings and wood everywhere. This cabin is more modern with only a few walls of wood, but we knew that from the description. But did have beautiful mountain views and that's the main reason we picked this one to stay in!
