A perfect family escape
We absolutely LOVED our stay. From the moment we walked into the house we were floored by the river views from every window, the cozy woodstove, and the spacious and well equipped kitchen. The recreational options at your fingertips made everyday fun from sun up to sun down. The Foose ball and ping pong, jigsaw puzzles, kayaks and canoe, fishing gear, tvs and movies filled all of our days with fun. The house had numerous sleeping arrangement possible, and as a mom I loved how kid friendly the entire space was. I would definetely recommend the house for families with wee little ones, as it is stocked with a crib, booster, high chair, baby gates, and a stocked toy box. Our kids, ages 8,10,11,and 13 had an unforgettable time kayaking, exploring the local beach, collecting oyster shells, and visiting local points of interest. Bill is so incredibly helpful and was a lovely host. We can't say enough good things about our stay and have alreardy been recommending the house to friends.
Everything I was hoping for.
The water view was awesome. Bill was very nice and took good care of us. He has everything you need to have a great weekend. Caught a good amount of crabs and fish from the pier. Definitely would rent again.
We had a bachelor celebration weekend where a bunch of us from the same ministry got together and just had fun. The location by the water was wonderful. Plenty of beds for each guy and just really refreshing for our souls. This location is a must stay!
We are a group of women with varying interests, such as crafts, quilting, hiking, sunning, exploring and just hanging out. This house was perfect!! Nine of us shared this house and the weekend was perfect for sitting on the dock, wandering around the area, and catching up on movies. Just what our spirits needed. The multiple common area rooms gave us all plenty of room to spread out and do our things, but keep connected sharing our interests. We can't wait to do it again. Bill is a fantastic host and thought of everything to make our stay fun and relaxing. We will be back!
Perfect vacation spot if you enjoy spending time watching wildlife, fishing, and kayaking.Had fun on the dock checking out crabpots . The house was comfortable and very roomy for taking adult children and grandkids and was nice place to spend time away with family. Bill the owner was very nice and helpful whenenever we needed info. If you bring a boat pay close attention to tides so you get in and out before low tides.Didn't go out looking for things to do enjoyed looking out at water. Saw bald eagles, herons, and osprey.. Caught lots of croaker out in boat... Saw lots of small brown rays and caught a big one.. Had a nice time.. :)
Perfect, Relaxing Vacation Spot!
We recently spent a week at Parker Shores and I definitely plan to go back! I happily reccomend this house as a great get away. If you're looking for a quiet, restful vacay -- look no further! There are canoes, bikes, kayaks, fishing off the pier. The house is very comfortable and homey. There were four adults and one child in our party for the week. We all had a great time. The house was nicely equipped and if we needed anything at all Bill was quick to meet our needs. Also, I highly recommend going on the Chesapeake Wine Trail!!!!
