This impressive country house Villa Rocío is surrounded by olive groves and is located near the town of Setenil de las Bodegas, Cádiz. Once you cross the entrance gate and the adorable entrance facade of the house, the spacious, Mediterranean gardens and the fantastic pool area create the impression of being in Tuscany or Lazio. But the decor of the interior of the house will immediately remind you that you are in the artistic and historic Andalucia. The central, covered patio has a design similar to that of the Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita in Córdoba or the Alcázar in Seville. The polyfoil arches supported by slender columns, the wooden Artesonado ceiling, mullioned windows and the typical tiled wall design, bear testimony to the Moorish history of Andalusia. From here you will reach the wonderful, rustic living room with wooden beams and furniture, exposed brickwork and a fireplace which offers a cosy ambience both in summer and in winter. The firewood for the fireplace is available on request and with surcharge. The living room leads to the large terrace, enclosed by a pretty balustrade, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the fabulous garden with citrus trees and palms. Here the food tastes twice as good! From the patio you have access to the separate and well equipped kitchen, three inviting bedrooms and the pretty bathroom with a tub. Stairs lead to the patio gallery and from there to the arbour, i.e. to the sun terrace, which is located above the main entrance. After a luxurious sunbath you can cool off in the amazing pool which even has a children's pool. Here you will spend an unforgettable holiday! Setenil de las Bodegas is one of the typical white villages of Andalusia. It is located on the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos (Route of the White Villages), which connects Setenil with the other, beautiful villages, such as Olvera, Ronda, El Gastor, Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra and Antequera. You can see the castle of Setenil, which was built by the Nazari in the 13th century and the church Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación built in Gothic and Mudéjar style standing majestically on a rock above the village. The Holy Week of Setenil de las Bodegas has been declared a National Tourist Attraction in Andalusia.
