The home in Bay St Louis, MS has been SOLD! It is no longer available through this Site!. is approximately 50 miles east of New Orleans, LA and 25 miles west of the Gulfport/Biloxi International Airport. Old Lazy River Road is a dead end with water on three sides. It ends at the bayou that connects to the Jordan River. The river flows into the Bay of Bay St Louis. The neighboring city to the east of the bay is Pass Christian. The bay is off the Mississippi Sound which has barrier Islands between it and the Gulf of Mexico. The area has good fishing for bass, red fish, speckled trout, shrimp, blue crab, etc. I have seen big tarpon in the lakes off the river about 2 miles (by water) north of the house off the Jordan River, just south of I10. These lakes are great for water sking.

The home is about 4 miles south of I-10 and 4 miles north of the beaches on the sound and the Gulf of Mexico. The golf course at the Hollywood Casino is within 4 miles of 4040 Old Lazy River Rd. It is the Bridges Golf Course. It is an Arnold Palmer designed course. A very challenging golf course.

Shopping at Wal-mart and K-mart as well as antique shopping is within 2 miles. Many good restaurants are in the area.

About Ray & Deborah Taylor

I like the water. We purchased the home tso have a place to go boating, and to moor a 34' sailboat which was docked next door to the house. There is a private dock at the home itself with a 14' row boat available or bring your own boat or jet ski and have fun!

Ray & Deborah Taylor purchased this house in 1999

Why Ray & Deborah Taylor chose Mississippi

This area is tranquil and still close to amenities. The home is on a canal which is good shelter for a boat in case of a storm. This dock can accommodate vessels up to 50' with a draft of up to 7' and has access to the Gulf of Mexico with height restrictions under 1 fixed bridge of 55' in height. This is suitable for sailboats, even at extreme low tide there is plenty of water depth. The back porch has views for miles over an ajacent ranch (green space).

What makes this house unique

We enjoy the peace and quite of the neighborhood. Its relative seclusion yet close proximity to shopping, dinning and marine environment. The New Orleans Aquairium of the Americas, its shoping, Jaz and night life just an hour drive away. The Water park in Gulfport 20 minutes to the east. The Wolf River Canoe Adventures also within 15 minute drive. And downtown Bay St Louis has Antique Shops, Art dealers, dinning and quaint small town feel-good environment.

July 4th Stay

  • 5 of 5

OH MY GOSH!!! WE SO ENJOYED this house! We're from Texas and travel to The Bay every July 4th to be with our family there. The dock was so convenient for my cousins with boats. The parking next door worked out beautifully as we had about 75 people there. The air conditioner-- PHENOMENAL!! The house was so perfect AND we REALLY enjoyed the neighbors there, Mark and Laura too! They were just DARLIN to us! It was probably the best house we've ever rented there. WE LOVED IT Mr. Taylor! Thank you so very much! (Sorry we won't be able to use again in the future as it's for sale) Thanks again!

Long weekend

  • 5 of 5

6 of us came and stayed for my husbands birthday weekend. We had plenty of room and all were very comfortable. The house was so welcoming and it was so nice to keep our boat docked behind the house. We were on the boat all day everyday and it was nice to come home to a house with a wonderful view!!

Great fishing trip, great house.

  • 5 of 5

First time to Bay St. Louis for a fishing trip with 2 of my buddies. Easy access to the river and short trip to the Bay in a boat. Nice house, and quiet. Great getaway. Really good fishing right up the river, caught a ton of specks and a shark.

  • 4 of 5

Had a wonderful Holiday Weekend with daughters, son n laws & grandsons. Deck accommodated our 3 boats. Easy to get to Jordan River, Bay or Gulf. House was nicely decorated & comfortable. Caught a couple crabs off deck. Didn't have internet password, which disappointed the grandchildren. A good time was had !! The view from upstairs is beautiful ! Would go back !! Owner easy to contact & speak with .

Great Place!!

  • 5 of 5

We (7 of us) came from Texas to Bay St. Louis for a family reunion. The place was exactly as described, very nice, quiet and clean. We didn't take advantage of any fishing or boating as there was not enough time but it was certainly there to enjoy. Our family reunion is an annual thing and we will certainly be staying here again. The owner was easy to work with, friendly and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend anyone staying here.
