It is within a 5 minute ride to Multiplaza mall and within walking distance to ATLAPA convention center, casino and Budget car rental. The condo is on the 18th floor with a partial view of the ocean. The windows are SOUND PROOFED to minimize street noise (August 2012). The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a full size bed. There is a full kitchen with a washer and dryer. It is also set up with broadband and wireless internet connections. This unit comes with a street level reserved parking space. There's more, its within walking distance to several restaurants, the supermarket, a pharmacy and Johns Hopkins affiliated Punta Pacifica Hospital.

Why Owner chose San Francisco
I chose to buy a vacation home here because I discovered that I have many relatives still here and I come to visit on a regular basis and wanted somewhere nice to stay in the city. I love going around finding places to take pictures. I love salsa so places to dance and of course eat. My son really loves it here with all the fruits available and access to the beach not too far a drive This is also great now that the new highway to Colon, means quick access to the Caribbean Sea

This was truly our home away from home.
The condo is bright and airy with light furnishings and all necessities: water, refidgeration, stove, washer, and dryer. The view is breathtaking and overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the skyline. Many amenities are in walking distance including: the park, gyms, grocery stores, shops, the mall, markets, restaurants, etc. Security monitors traffic going in and out of the condo 24/7 offering all guests an added layer of protection. We experience no hassle from other guests nor neighbors. Taxis and Uber frequent the condo and will take guests to different areas surrounding the city such as the Panama Canal and Casco Viejo. You don't have to be fluent in Spanish, but it makes the experience much more vibrant. If you're thinking of coming to Panama City, Panama, stay as long as you can and stay at the Mar del Sur.

good location, needs maintenance
We had a nice stay in Panama City. We enjoyed the pool, the view from the windows, and the helpful staff. And having two bathrooms with two showers was very convenient. However, improved cleanliness, painting of all walls and doors, working TVs (in the living room and the master bedroom), working window shutters, a kitchen stove that functions more effectively, and a few more plates, bowls, and glasses would significantly improve this apartment.
Many positives with some negatives
This condo has many positives: laundry facilities, swimming pool, exercise room, location, two bedrooms each with shower, friendly staff, close to major mall and hospital and lots of space. However, it would benefit from improved cleanliness, painting of all walls and doors, better furniture in living areas, a working tv in the master bedroom and a/c unit outside the second bedroom. The property managers were very helpful in fixing other minor issues during our stay. In summary, a good place to stay with potential to be an excellent place to stay.
My apologies that we did not meet all your expectations. We will address your concerns now the the condo is unoccupied and hope that our future guests will be happy with the improvements we have made.
Great place, great location!
A great apartment w 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Clean, all amenities ( even laundry- a huge plus) work well and the views from the rooftop pool are some of the best you can get. I stay there twice a year, and the building staff are all helpful and friendly. Close to everything- grocery stores, huge modern mall, old city, downtown, Balboa Avenue, with easy access to transport corridors, taxis, buses etc. to get to other sites. You will be happy you chose this place!

Great location. Needs maintenance.
We loved the location. It is within walking distance to a great mall in one direction, and a wonderful park in the other direction. The building was very secure. Communication with owner, manager, and housekeeper was great. The apartment size was very comfortable for 4 people. Kitchen was well stocked with what you need for simple meals. Nice TV, internet worked well, cable channels available. Air conditioners in the bedrooms work well.
However, we did have a few concerns.
First, there was a significant unpleasant odor, most likely coming from the drains. Most pronounced in the hall bathroom and the kitchen. Air freshener masks the odor a little, but it does not go away.
Second, the apartment needs to be maintained and updated. Walls/doors could use a fresh coat of paint, second bedroom door the knob needs to be replaced (sorry, but masking tape does not do the trick), furniture is old and shows it's age (pictures were taken when everything was new). The dryer works fine, but the washer needs repair, it agitates, but the barrel turns with the agitator, so the clothes just go around in a circle, not being cleaned, and when the lid is down it is very loud. The living room air conditioner does not work.
Finally, the owner states that he replaced the windows with soundproof glass. All I can say is that the master bedroom it is quieter than the second bedroom, but you are still going to wake up at 6 am from the street noise and school across the main avenue. The second bedroom is very loud in the morning, and is definitely not soundproof glass. We are used to getting up early, so it was not a problem personally. Light sleepers, or those who want to sleep in past 6 am may be disappointed.
If the owner invests some of the rental funds back into the apartment to resolve these issues, it will be a great place to stay, and I would want to return. Until then I could not recommend the property to my friends.
The condo was exactly as described and Tony was very helpful and accomodating to us being that it was literally about 24hours notice. The condo was very clean and adequately stocked with all the utensils needed. Wifi access was excellent and the building very secure. There was some street noise but nothing outrageous or out of the ordinary for Panama. The pool was out of service due to repairs but other than that we were very comfortable here. It is literally several blocks from the Multi plaza and around the corner and a few blocks away from the supermarket. Fresh linens and toiletries were provided (soap, towels, hand towels & toilet paper) again there was nothing more we could have asked for.
Tony was very understanding as this was not a vacation for us and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and privacy to boot. Aldridge was great in responding as quickly as he did and had everything arranged while I was actually in flight and was ready by the time I landed.
