This meticulously restored, 1930's home features exceptional architectural details throughout including hardwood floors, plaster beam ceilings and original art deco tile. The home also offers a fully remodeled and well equipped kitchen with built-in breakfast nook, formal dining room, large living room, front and back patios, a gas BBQ and gas fire pit and a big, newly landscaped, south facing back yard with ping pong, bocce ball court and large, outdoor courtyard dining.
The main house offers 3 bedrooms with 1 Queen bed, 1 Full-sized bed, and 1 Twin bed. The Guest House offers 1 Queen bed. A port-a-crib and high chair can be made available upon request. PLEASE NOTE: For groups of 5 adults or more, the Guest House will automatically be included in the reservation and the fee will adjust accordingly.
Between the two houses (Main + Guest) there are 3 flat screen, HDTVs each with DVRs and DVD players. There is also high-speed, fiber optic (FIOS) WIFI with Netflix, Amazon Instant Streaming, Pandora, Spotify, X Box, etc... as well as new, in-ceiling stereo speakers throughout the kitchen, dining, living room and back patio areas.
The home is located in a safe, quiet and convenient neighborhood known as Sunset Park which is 1.25 miles from the beach and just one block from shops, cafés, restaurants, yoga, and groceries. There are two wonderful parks within walking distance as well as a public 9-hole golf course, a state-of-the art public swim center and multiple Breeze Bike-Share locations. We are within 20 minutes of Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Westwood and LAX and even Downtown LA depending on the traffic.
Housekeeping can be included during your stay for an additional fee.
As this is our primary residence of 20+ years, we take great care of and pride in its upkeep. We expect guests to be respectful and abide by the house rules which include: No smoking, no pets, no parties and no loud noise of any kind.
PLEASE NOTE: “On May 12, 2015, the Santa Monica City Council adopted the Home-Sharing Ordinance reiterating its ban on the rental of entire units as vacation rentals. The Home-Sharing Ordinance also legalized the short term rental of a portion of a person’s home when the host lives on-site throughout the visitor’s stay and when the host obtains a business license. Hosts are also required to collect and remit Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) if not collected and remitted by the hosting platform.”
