I fell in love with Santa Fe on my first visit in 1996. Visited many times and decided to buy my home in 2001. Was blessed to find a home considered in town but up the mountain enough to have great views and feel a bit remote from the activity of the town. A great spot to rest with a drink and watch the panoramic sunsets that Santa Fe is known for.

This lovely home with spectacular views is located in a suburb which is a 7 to10 minute DRIVE to downtown. There is no wifi!
The rooms are tastefully decorated, with a working fireplace, and the kitchen is well appointed. Two of the bedrooms are very nice but the third is a dungeon: very small, no closet, NO WINDOWS and very strange lighting!
Throughout the house there are no lights to read by.
The owner was very responsive to the one problem we had and it was easy to gain access.
While I appreciate the review it is not accurate.
I can walk to the plaza in 15 minutes and can drive in 5 minutes.
The views from the house are worth the 5 minute drive to the Santa Fe plaza or scenic 15 minute walk.
The “dungeon” that was described is a cozy twin bed room with it’s own bathroom and a cool room in the summer for a nap.
All of my guests pick that room as first choice.
There are three lamps in the living room, one on the side table and two on the table behind couch with which to read.
Each bedroom has a lamp on night stand beside bed, so reading should not be a problem.
I was responsive to tenant’s phone call saying that one of the locks to back door was broken, which was in fact not broken, just not operated properly.
If you read this renters’ other house reviews, they are equally negative so I am confident that my house will be enjoyed as it has been for many years, with glowing reviews.
