Guestbook comments from the owner

Good Morning…

I am trying to get back into the swing of life after such a wonderful stay… I am trying to open this to give my remarks but it will not let me so hoping you get this..

Your cabin was absolutely awesome… What a beautiful place… So quiet and it had everything we needed to prepare meals/cook outs for the family. The kids enjoyed exploring your yard alone, not to mention Lassen having snow in July! The setting was awesome so quiet and homey…. We could have just moved right in and never looked back…. Thank you for having such a wonderful place an sharing it..

Good log house

  • 4 of 5

The house was great, we were group of 8 and enjoyed our stay. Mary was generous in check in and check out times.

1. Old fashioned log house in between the woods

2. Very nice scenic drives close by

1. Bathroom locks can be opened from outside

2. There was too much dust in the house

Owner's Response: Yes, do to the uniqueness of the door " knobs", not you typical design - however add character to the log home. As for dust, not clear on what you're referring to, I personally dusted the kitchen and living room surfaces, except for the mantel and TV stand. I cleaned just a couple hours prior your arrival. I did notice a smokey odor in the air from the neighborhood fire places. Thanks for your review. Mary

Overall good

  • 4 of 5

Except few minor issues, it was a good experience. Heating in downstairs rooms was not enough however both room had heated blanket. There was a bat in the house which was annoying a little bit. There was no washer/dryer which we knew and was not an issue. Overall it was a good and would recommend.

Very warm and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

This is very well kept property just far enough away from it all. We found it to be family and pet (thank you!) friendly. Proximity to Lassen National Park and adjacent forest offers boundless opportunity for exploration and adventure. This property is now on our list of favorites!

Great log cabin in the woods, cosy & full of character!

  • 5 of 5

It was cold when we arrived but the cabin heated up very quickly & was lovely & cosy. Plenty of room for a larger party, we were only 3. Very pretty surroundings, didn't really notice the tenant in the next cabin. It was easy to find & fantastic for visiting lassen national park & Burney falls!! The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed & very comfortable. I would happily recommend this cabin to anyone! Thank you!

Quiet and enjoyable, as promised!

  • 5 of 5

Two couples stayed for a weekend, to take advantage of nearby outdoor activities. We really enjoyed this home. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, and you could have easily accommodated up to the 10 people advertised if the sleeping arrangements worked out. The cabin was easy to heat, and felt very homey. The surrounding woods were peaceful, just as advertised. We all agreed that we would stay again. Extra bonus to have the pet fee and the cleaning fee included in the nightly rate, without all the extra add-on charges. Mary was easy to work with and flexible with our arrival time.

Perfect place to be a part of nature

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect location for exploring Lassen. Check in/out was easy and the cabin was cozy and comfortable. The wifi router was in the house (not shared with neighbor) and worked great for our needs.
