Smoky Mountain Country Club is for those who enjoy magnificent golf, a grand selection of outdoor activities and private, and luxury Smoky Mountain living. An hour west of Asheville and less than three hours north of Atlanta, Smoky Mountain Country Club is surrounded by 5,000 foot Appalachian peaks. This is one of the most distinguished golf and outdoor active communities in the Southeast.
The golf course here will supersede your expectations of a mountain golf course with silky smooth Bent Grass greens and spectacular mountain views. In addition to spectacular golf, Outside Magazine named our area a Top 100 community for outdoor recreation with our heralded whitewater rafting, kayaking, stream and lake fishing and hiking.
Substitute the golf for fishing (lake and stream), a scenic drive, road cycling, hiking, whitewater rafting, kayaking or horseback riding. We're not kidding when we say we have it all.

I live with my wife part of the year at another location within the Smoky Mountain Country Club. We love the area with its vibrant beauty and boundless activities. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Patrick Kavanagh purchased this condo in 2005

Thanking you so much for sharing your home with us. Your home was lovely and provided everything we needed to make our stay a perfect one! We had a wonderful vacation! We enjoyed some much needed family time/reunion. We will definitely share our experience with family and friends and would love to return in the future!
Thank you so much,
E Minchak & Family:-)
Facility was clean and attractive but there were several things that were just not right.
1) Silverware in drawer was really dirty. Had to soak it and wash it before use. Plus it was the cheapest flatware I have ever seen. If we would have had plastic with us we could have upgraded to the plastic.
2) Have always had salt and pepper in the cupboard of rentals but nothing here.
3) WiFi wasn't working therefore no TV or Netflix or anything else!
4) Bathroom towels were absolutely drenched in fabric softener and really smelled. That is not a good thing for people sensitive to perfumes/dyes (like me).
We came to the area for a college tour of Western Carolina University. With it being homecoming weekend hotels near the university were booked so I turned to VRBO. At first glance thru the pictures this place looked great.
At the time of booking I got a confirmation email saying my reservation request had been accepted. When we arrived we stopped in at the sales and reception center to check in. When I went inside to tell the receptionist I was checking in she looked at me like I was an alien saying "I have no reservation" - thankfully before I left I had printed my email confirmation. I handed it to her and she said oh that's a private owner.
She informed me that someone just checked out and she was unaware of anyone coming to clean the unit. She phoned the owner (in Florida) and told him she had guests in her lobby here to check into his unit and it's not cleaned.
With it being so late in the day, there was no time to get a cleaning person. The receptionist herself wound up going to clean the unit while we ran to the grocery store.
Once we returned the office was closed. I realized at that point that we didn't have an address, bldg number or unit number (the owner never provided that upon reserving the unit) in fact I didn't even have keys.
Thankfully the manager and receptionist had left us a note on the office door with directions to that unit and how to get in.
The place itself is run down and in need of upgrading. The place wasn't that clean (no fault of the receptionist) the dust on the ceiling fans were about 1/4 inch thick, the door locks were difficult to close
All in all this was an extremely unpleasant experience. If you are interested in renting this property, I would suggest calling the resort directly and rent one of their units. I would NOT recommend renting this particular unit from this owner who is obviously CLUELESS in this area.
I would not recommend this property.
When we arrived the gate code we were given was incorrect and there was no cell service. Fortunately the people at the golf course were still there and knew the gate code.
The unit itself was nice design but dirty. We had to change the sheets in the master bedroom. The ones on the bed had blood stains on them. They appeared to have been washed but still.
Later that night we discovered that there was only one blanket for 3 beds.
My wife and our two friends really enjoyed our two night stay here. The condo is located within a short distance of Cherokee and the view of the mountains and golf course were spectacular! The condo is spacious, very clean, and we'll maintained. It was well worth the rental fee.
We enjoyed out stay at Smoky Mountain Country Club. This is our 3rd visit. It is very convenient to Bryson City. We love to eat at Jimmy Mac's. We always enjoy the rafting at NOC. We went Tubing in Cherokee but the water was a little to low and turned out to be more work than fun. It is very quite retreat and we enjoyed using the pool in the evening. We plan on coming back.
Thank you,
Paul & Debbie
