About The Owner

Guy Sawka live at 59048 Madi lane, New Hudson, MI. 48165 Gymnastics Instructor, brighton MI. and personal trainer.

The Owner purchased this house in 1996

Why The Owner chose Harbor Springs

Built it new in 1996 because of the area. located in a quiet, treed subdivision of Hidden Hamlet. Very close to skiing and close to Petoskey State Park on lake Michigan. Many amenities: game room, gas fire place, outdoor jacuzzi, fire pit, gas grill, bicycles. So many things to do or also just relax in a great up north atmoshphere.

Petoskey state Park on lake Michigan is just a short 4 mile drive.

Tunnel of Trees drive begins about 10 minutes away just on the other side of downtown Harbor Springs.

What makes this house unique

One of the best things I like is to fall asleep to the sound of the creek flowing in the backyard, you can hear it with the windows open. Eating out on the deck is also fun. Sitting in front of the fire or especially in the jacuzzi after skiing.....priceless.

The game room is also a lot of fun.

Making smores in the fire pit; great up north tradition.

Fun in Northern Michigan

  • 5 of 5

Great Home for a family Christmas vacation. We had 8 people stay here very comfortably. We went downhill skiing, cross country skiing and a little snowshoeing on the north country trail. Kids loved the game room and the adults loved the hot tub.

Rooms are:

Upstairs master room: King Bed

Upstairs Loft area: Double Photon

Main level room 1: 2 twin beds (We pushed together)

Main level room 2: 2 twin beds

I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great northern Michigan adventure.

Peaceful & Clean - great owner

  • 5 of 5

Three of my family members stayed in the chalet for 4 nights to see the Fall colors. There is a LOT to do in the area! We did wine & cider tasting, checked out the sailboats in the marina (we were looking to buy), Nubs Nob open house had free chair lift rides which let us check the area out for winter skiing, Tom’s Mom’s cookies is a must, drove to Petoskey and Petoskey state park beach, and even drove 1.5 hrs Traverse City (to see a boat), and drove 3 miles to see Boyne Highlands! Loved listening to the creek out back at night! Didn’t use the hot tub, but looks great for after skiing! Firepit and plenty of chairs supplied and bikes in garage too. Lower level has billard, ping pong, air hockey, and nice fooseball table so plenty for all the family to do!! Only down side was not many TV channels to watch on rainy evenings, and master shower was a little small for my husband. Definitely would stay to go in winter with Nubs Nob walkable distance!

Awesome Vacation Spot!

Girls Trip 2017

The Chalet was great, the décor is in Native Indian. The trees around the house were awesome. We saw black squirrels, and chipmunks scurry around the area. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. We enjoyed the nights very quiet and serene. It is conveniently located, about 45 minutes from Mackinaw City which you can get a ferry to Mackinac Island. The game room would be really nice for kids or adults who like to playing games. It was also very well stocked .We found Kilwin’s and took a chocolate tour. (The Ice Cream and Fudge were great) We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood admiring all the houses there. It was a great place to visit and we would do it again.

Very Nice Time

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there for a quick Ski vacation. House has a great location about 2 minute drive to Nub, very scenic with the snow. Kids absolutely loved the game room, after skiing all day, we had some fierce ping pong and air hockey battles into the night. Guy was super easy to deal with, answered all our questions, and was very responsive. Would stay again if house is available.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

Great place – highly recommend. Gorgeous lot, especially from the hot tub with snow on the trees over the backyard ravine. We were grandparents from Wisconsin meeting our Michigan daughter and her family, including 4 year old and 1 year old grandchildren, for an early January ski trip. This place was perfect for the 6 of us. Various of us particularly enjoyed the hot tub, downstairs game and all purpose room, the 3 bedrooms, spacious living area, and 3 levels for some privacy and separation. The house is very nicely decorated and furnished with all sorts of conveniences and games. The beds were comfortable. All in all, really great. We will very likely be back for future family get togethers. Oh, and the skiing was fantastic – 1-3 inches of light fluffy snow each of the 3 days and the last night produced 15 inches of fresh powder!
