Adorable house in an adorable neighborhood!

  • 5 of 5

House was so cute! It was clean and had everything we needed. Landlords responded to our questions quickly. We didn't have any issues while we were there. There is a lot to do within walking distance; restaurants, bars, coffee, bakery, tattoos, massage. Would definitely recommend!

Lots of unexpected delights!

  • 5 of 5

I, my brother and sister-in-law stayed at Redwing for 3 nights and could not have been happier.

The house was charming, spotless and uncluttered (which I like). My brother really admired the craftsmanship of the rehab. We drove, but left the car parked in favor of walking and taking public transportation. Within a 10-minute walk, you are on a lovely street full of fine dining opportunities, coffee shops, bakeries, boutiques. Everything you could want. We also frequented Grand Central Bakery for morning repasts and then hopped on the nearby 70 bus which took us to the light rail for rides into Portland. This house is in a beautiful neighborhood of well-loved homes and we felt totally safe. Another nice feature is that the very responsive and organized owners live next door. Would definitely return. If I had to find to point out an area for improvement, it would only be that we had trouble figuring out the instructions for re-cycling. Probably just us!

Living like a local

  • 5 of 5

We visit Portland often to see our daughter, and love to have a house where we can prepare meals, play games, and have our daughter and partner stay with us. This location was very accessible, close to bike trails we love to ride and skate, and lots of great small local, not too trendy places to eat. The house was as tight as a drum, very nicely finished with loads of room and privacy with sleeping quarters on two floors for privacy. The back deck overlooked a great garden. There wasn't a single kitchen utensil we didn't have. Wish we would have been staying longer. Our favorite find was an out of this world bakery called Piece of Cake, award winning cakes and cupcakes to die for, even for vegans, right on a connection between two bike paths.

Wedding in Portland

  • 5 of 5

My family flew in from Denver for a grandson's wedding and picked Redwing House for our stay. This home was very clean and nicely furnished, plenty of room for the 7 of us. It is located in a very nice quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed having our morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the garden. It was within walking distance to bars and restaurants. It was a short walk to Killer Burger which we enjoyed a couple of times. We highly recommend Redwing Hose and if we ever return to Portland for a visit we will most certainly try to book the house again.

What a lovely home from home, this home is everything that any family could need! We had a lovely trip to Portland, with space to spare in the house. Close to the attractions we wanted, and within walking distance of shops and restaurants, Brett and Marny have provided loads of information on things to see and do, and are right next door in case of questions.

The house is clean and well equipped, from crockery and kitchen equipment to toys and books, and washing and drying facilities, and the linens were so soft and luxurious.

Sitting in the garden for breakfast on the few dry days was the icing on the cake.

Travelling with teens, I would recommend OMSI for a drizzly afternoon, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, and Segway nation tours of downtown (wrap up warm!). Killer burger is an easy option and Gino's on 13th for a lovely dinner. also the cart pods are a must for quality, different dining!

thankyou for a great stay!

Perfect Portland Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This quintessential Portland house is located in a fantastic neighborhood. (I know because I lived in close-in Portland for six years.) The owners have clearly taken great care with the renovations. They have also gone above and beyond in making the house a wonderful stay for their guests. The place is absolutely spotless, and the bed and linens were great. Booking and check-in were super easy. We will definitely stay here again, and look forward to seeing the backyard garden in full bloom. Oh, and thanks for the bottle of wine!
