About Rosario

My husband and I used to come up to Trinidad to visit friends. When the opportunity came up to purchase the property,we did not hesitate. We both work long hours and are in the health service profession, so the place provides a much needed R&R, even on weekends or long holidays.

Rosario purchased this house in 1999

Why Rosario chose North Coast

The magnificent view, the quaint town, it's interesting museum, shops and restaurants. The tranquil surroundings, where time absolutely stands still.

Car: necessary

Situated high on a bluff, this historical property known as the Groth House after it's owner and builder, Bruno Groth, a famous sculptor, with his wife Nita, built of rough hewn timbers, natural stone and sheets of glass commands a magnificent view of the ocean, a small fishing port and the quaint, charming town of Trinidad. A gentle trail, about a 100 yards leads to the beach below. The place offers utter peace and relaxation where time absolutely stands still.

The house is fully equipped with broadband Internet, DVD library and player, etc. The town has interesting attractions from museums to restaurants, shops and festivals; like fish festival, Clam Beach Run, depending on the season. Activities also abound from, hiking, biking, golfing, whale watching, fishing, walking, boating, rafting, kayaking, antique shopping (20 min drive to town of Eureka), and 15 min drive north for elk watching. And of course the view from the house is enough if one just chooses to relax on a lazy day.

Other Activities: shopping, beach picnics, outdoor concerts, community festivals, blackberry harvest, country fairs
