About Vacasa, WA - Long Beach Peninsula Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice little cottage
I loved the location. It is very close to the grocery store and several different restaurants. The cottage was a cozy little place. It worked well for our purposes. We were looking to simply get away for the weekend. I would stay here over a motel, anytime.
Things to keep in mind when visiting this cottage is the size. The beds are full size, so be prepared to cuddle with whomever you are sleeping. The couch is a futon, which can be used to sleep 2 people, but it is not a very comfortable couch. I think I would prefer a sleeper couch which was more comfortable to sit on. The TV is fairly small, and across the room from the couch. A larger TV on a swivel mount would be nice.
The cottage is a bit drafty and took some time to heat. They have made an effort with this by providing space heaters in every room. It does have a central heater as well. As for the wood stove, that was a bit of a disappointment. The first night I built a smaller fire in it to warm the place and received no heat from it. The next night, I used the rest of the wood available and built a roaring fire in it. Even then, it did nothing to warm the space. Using the space heaters and the central heat, it took most of the day to warm the place up to a comfortable temperature.
The selection of pans and dishes was pretty good. The only thing missing was a cookie sheet and some baking pans. Those would have been helpful with what we planned to cook.
The last thing to look out for is the parking. It is a long driveway which will park 3 cars, but the driveway is on the grass, there is no paving for it whatsoever. The ruts have been worn pretty deeply, so parking a second car may be tricky because it would have to be parked next to the street, or in the ruts. A truckload of rocks would do a lot for the driveway.
If these are all things you can manage, this is a great place to spend the nights. I will most likely use it again when I visit Long Beach. Happy Vacationing.
Nice little cottage
The property was clean and worked out well for our stay. I would much rather stay in a place like this than a motel room. There were a couple of things which would have made the stay all the better.
The T.V. was a bit on the small side, especially mounted clear across the room.
The wood stove was next to useless. I was able to build a fire in it, but it never warmed up much. The next night, I built a roaring fire in it, using all the firewood left, and the stove did not warm the place up at all. They do provide space heaters and have heater vents throughout the house, but because the house is so drafty, it took all day to warm up.
The driveway is rutted out pretty badly. It really needs a rock bed to keep from making mud puddles when it rains, which it tends to do in the winter.
There was a pretty decent selection of pots and pans, but what is really missing is a cookie sheet and a couple of baking dishes. We had to be creative to cook our meal.
The beds are only full size, and the couch is a futon. The futon is not very comfortable to sit on. The house could really use a full-size couch with a sleeper.
The last thing I am confused about is the amount of cleaning which is required of me when I check out, yet I am being charged a $70 cleaning fee.
We appreciate this feedback and will use it to make improvements to the home. Thank you!
Charming beach cottage
Sweet and simple two bedroom cabin conveniently near the beach, market and the areas best restaurants. Wood stove, well-equipped kitchen, perfect for a quiet beach getaway.
A humble but comfortable spot.
We loved it. Don’t expect anything high end, but the location and wood burning stove were perfect for what we wanted.
The cabin was comfortable. If you are travelling light a great place to stay for a couple of days. Easy access to tourist spots.
Charming little cottage in December
We really enjoyed staying in the charming little cottage. The neighborhood is full of older homes, it was fun to walk around, and particularly to walk to the beach. It was a bit cold for us, having the wood stove going was essential as temperatures really dropped. Might choose to go during a warmer month next time, but we did enjoy the coziness of the wood stove. There was no French press as promised in the kitchen supplies, otherwise we were able to cook meals in the small kitchen. My primary suggestion is to upgrade the beds. I wouldn't want to go back until I know this has been done, as the lumpy beds were very uncomfortable.
