Very nice condo

  • 4 of 5

Great little condo. A little bit of a drive to the lake and not used to no a/c. Had to keep doors and windows open which led to a lot of moths, little flys and mosquitos. Other than that, was clean and perfect for my family of 6.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind response. At 7300 feet there are not that many warm days and very few if any Condos up there have A/C. Sorry about the moths as they are attached to front door light. I usually keep it off at night and they are not an issue. Thanks Mark

What a good property .......

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for three nights last week and really enjoyed ourselves. The location is perfect as is the view. The condo is in good shape, has good cable tv reception and spacious. We would stay here again w/o any hesitation.

Perfect get away spot with a View

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here a lot! It was my little family of four and two friends. The upstairs is recently updated and makes it a nice modern feel with a cozy Tahoe chalet feel, which in the winter would be perfect!! And the view! You can't beat it! The picture advertised is right outside the door. We opened the door in the morning and had coffee in the deck! The sun does shine right into the master though, so heads up. Mark, the owner, was great to work with and easy to get a hold of! The building itself needs some repairs but the condo was pretty clean and perfect for a short weekend away. It is small but the downstairs bed and bathroom is spacious and has a spa. I was told that room will be updated next. It's also on the side of a hill, so not a lot of running around room for small kids. My 3 and 5 year old made due though. I'm excited to go back and see the updates. About 15 mins from Stateline and Zephyr Cove, it was a great location without the hassle of the casinos, but also has a great bar within walking distance. We went for the Jack Johnson concert and it was a $20 cab ride back from Harvey's. I would definitely recommend it to our friends.

Best vacations ever!!

  • 5 of 5

Summer time at Lake Tahoe is just amazing! It has beautiful sand beaches around the lake but the best one was harbor beach at north east side of lake. Even though the lake is 6000 ft above sea level its waters are so warm. Endless walking trails, I mean there is so many things to do ,a week won't be enough time. Stateline at south is great. The people is so nice. there is the casinos at Nevada side and then there is a beautiful plaza at California side, The gondolas and so many attractions.!!!! Is just amazing.!!! At the end of the day we were so tire that is piece of mind knowing that we had a really nice place to stay. Mark your apartment is great. The view down to Gardnerville ranchos valley is eye catching!!!! The shade in master bedroom needs to be fix. Even though I was really gentle I could not get it up again. Everything else was great. Thank you so much.!!! Definitely is a great place to stay... don't know where we are going next year but if we go back to Lake Tahoe I want to stay at your place Mark... thank you so much again!!!!

Would not come back

  • 2 of 5

The view was amazing. The place was a lot smaller than the pictures made it seem and there was NEVER any mention that you had to walk down 2 flights of stairs to get to the house. At night, the stairs were barely lit and if you weren't aware of the lip at the top,

It could be dangerous.

I had my mother with me who has a hard time walking so the fact that the description lacked the mention of the stairs was extremely frustrating and my main reason for a negative review

Owner's Response: Hello Beth I have received your review and feel like it is not warranted. I have had this Condo with VRBO since 2002 and have never received a review like this. Most all of my reviews are 4-5 stars. The Client (You) called me on the Friday night as you were at the Condo checking in and said her Mom was having trouble with the stairs. You wanted me to refund the full amount and I told her I could not as that would be lost revenue and not be able to recover that. I told your that if she did not disturb the Unit I would refund her the $150 Cleaning Fee and to call me back with her decision. I did not receive a call back and assumed all was OK. We are up in the mountains at 7,300 feet and there are pictures, as in the view, that show we are up in the mountains. I real do understand your concerns. Other prospective Clients have asked about the stairs issue and I have always told them it was not a good idea if you have mobility issues. You also said the unit was smaller than the pictures showed. I am not sure how to answer that other than the pictures are once again in the listing. There are also solar lights on the stairs and lights on the roof to show you the way down the stairs. I have since put the square footage in my listing, 920 square feet, and there is verbiage in the listing about the 30 stairs in 3 flights. I do understand your concerns but stairs are everywhere up there and this should have asked up front as other prospective Clients have done. Thank you Mark Engelman

Nice, cozy condo. Great view.

Great place to stay in Tahoe. Pretty much everything for our stay was included. Mark had great communication throughout the process, including during our stay. The only minor drawback is the parking. At times it was hard to find a parking spot in front of the unit as there are no assigned property spots. We had to park at the entrance of the condo association (one way) and walk back to the unit, as parking spots fill up quickly if you're out all day, arrive back late at night or during busy holiday periods. But I guess that can be expected as Tahoe is a very popular vacation area. Thanks so much Mark!
