Great mountain escape!

  • 5 of 5

Great house! We had a large group, and the house worked perfectly. Our kids loved the upstairs playroom and all of the room outdoors to play in the snow. Adults enjoyed having plenty of room to visit in the common areas of the house. The owner was extremely easy to work with and friendly.

I rented this cabin for my family of 14 and it was perfect! We we're all very comfortable, and we all enjoyed every bit of the cabin from making smores on the fire pit, to playing in the river, to playing games and watching the game in the game room! And the town is not to far away, there's a lot to do in pagosa, our favorite was horseback riding through the Rocky Mountains IN THE RAIN! Unforgettable adventure!! We will definitely go back :)

Great Place to take family to unwind, heal in our case and enjoy the beautiful house and surroundings

  • 5 of 5

God answered our prayers when we sought a place for my immediate family to take a trip in an effort to bond and heal from a tragic family loss. You see, we lost my wife in July. She's the Mother of my 3 beautiful kids and we needed time to ourselves. This Ranch was the perfect answer to our prayers. the beauty of a log cabin with something set from a front cover of a magazine! i wanted to take the bed back with me. We had a great time just hanging out, skiing and shopping in nearby Pagosa Springs. only 15 minutes to town and the ranch was easy to find for us being first timers. The house did not lack for anything we needed. Great family room with real fireplace and magnificent dinner table with a huge antler chandolier. You have all the comforts of home if you are looking for that as well. Cell service is off and on but they do have a land line. you can text and do all of that stuff the kids still enjoy to do. Fenced and easy to navigate the place as long as theres not a foot of snow in the ground. The view out the bay window in the formal living area just draws you to it. Was a favorite lounging spot for my daughter.

Again, perfect place if you want to spend time with your family or friends. Did I mention the kitchen with a professional gas stove! Skiing is only 30 minutes at the most and roads were always clear. We could feel the soul of my wife and kids mom as God provided a perfect setting fo all of this to happen. We are already thinking about our next trip here. Why try anywhere else when this was already perfect. God bless to all and do not hesitate to book Paradise Ranch. I bet the summer is even better as you have the National Forest to explore.

God speed to all and i hope your visit to Paradise Ranch is as wonderful as our was.....Until then, God bless you all and take care.........The Boatright Family

What a beautiful location! We can't wait to return!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Paradise Ranch, and we can't wait to go back!

The rooms were spacious, and the beds comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern, well-appointed and well-equipped. Although we go to Paradise Ranch to get away from TV and the computer, out teenage daughter informed us that there are many, many satellite TV channels to choose from, as well as a wide selection of DVDs. We found the property to be very clean and well-maintained. The photos don't do it justice! In short: all the comforts of home!

In addition to all the modern comforts and conveniences, there was a welcome rustic feeling to the property. You can walk to the river in minutes for fishing, and there is direct national forest access from the property. It is far enough away from town to provide a feeling of seclusion, but close enough to enjoy the hot springs, shopping and other activities. We were only about 40 minutes away from Wolf Creek Ski area. The scenery was spectacular, with views of the mountains by day, and the Milky Way by night, unobstructed by city lights. (For you astronomy nerds, on a moonless night, the Andromeda galaxy is naked-eye visible!) We also saw numerous elk and deer on the property nearly every day, including the largest elk we've ever seen one evening as we were pulling back onto the property from a visit to Pagosa Springs.

We would recommend this property for friends and relatives, and we plan to return ourselves!
