I am Italian, born in Tuscany - Siena. I have lived in Rome and London. I purchased the apartment in Rome in 2000 and I have fully refurbished it twice (in 2000 and 2006). In the last few years I have made several updates including new furniture, air-conditioning units, new dryer, and so much more! I like investing in my property to make it more comfortable for my guests. I lived there for 3 years beginning in 2002 and loved every single day being able to walk everywhere and to sightseeing in beautiful Rome - which I consider an open-air museum. Currently, I live and work in the U.S. - with my husband Stefano, who is also Italian.
Giusy purchased this Apartment in 2000
Why Giusy chose Rione VII Regola
I have always loved Campo dei Fiori in Rome. It is a beautiful square, where cars are not allowed. It has hosted a farmers' market every day since 1490! It is an open air museum, where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine, coffee..for hours and hours...and just steps from the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Forum, Navona Square...I never needed to use a car while I lived in my Rome apartment.
What makes this Apartment unique
I chose this loction because it is a quiet spot. Via dei Cappellari is a pedestrian street. The apartment is located in a private building with a court-yard which is a very beautiful setting. Thus it is quiet, secure, and private...yet steps from the most lively sights in Rome

Amazing apartment in the heart of it all
I booked this apartment for me and my dad ,
It was perfect , we met with a delightful man who showed us round the apartment and showed us how things worked , there was double room at either side of the sitting area with ensuites in both bedrooms , great kitchen area and a utility area in one of the bedrooms at the back ,
This apartment is very safe and secure in a courtyard.
Right outside was a square with a market with fresh flowers which was lovely and many cafes and bars ,
Walking distance to all the sights which is why this place was perfect for us .
Excellent Apartment in Rome
I was very happy with my recent stay at Guisy's apartment near Campo de Fiori in Rome. I have stayed in multiple apartment's in the Campo de Fiori/Piazza Navona area. From the perspectives of the apartment itself, location, quiet neighborhood, etc, this is the nicest apartment I have rented. The apartment has two bedrooms separated by a small kitchenette and living room area. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower in suite. The beds are very comfortable. Ample pillows and bath towels are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils, dishes, pots, etc you may need. The refrigerator/freezer is high grade. The only area that could be improved would be more shelving in the bedrooms. One bedroom has ample shelving, but the bed sits up against the doors making them difficult to access. Also, if using the sofa bed in the living room area, it would be quite cramped. Overall, the apartment receives very high grades. As for the location, you can't beat it. It is only a 5 minute walk from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, and only 15 minutes to the Trevi Fountain, Forum, and the Vatican. There are multiple bus stops and ATM's located close to the apartment. The neighborhood itself is relatively quiet during the evening hours. A final note worth considering is that the booking agency Guisy uses, Home in Rome, was excellent and made getting into the apartment very easy. Overall, this experience is high quality and I would recommend it to others.
Easily the best apartment rental we've done anywhere (including Paris Perfect). If owner/manager haven't thought of it, you don't need it. Quiet, very secure and great location. Beds were fantastic. We were two couples and didn't get in each other's way.
Jim, thank you for your review. We love our guests, please come back to Rome. Giusy and Cory
We’ve rented apartments in many countries over the years (including three in Rome). This was the best of all. Super location, secure, quiet, and all the amenities (including great beds) that make for a very comfortable stay. If we return to Rome, we’d try to rent it again.
Great Family Apartment!
We really liked this apartment. It was in a great location within walking distance to everything. We did not use a taxi or bus but enjoyed the walk to sites and restaurants. we were there for New Year's Eve and the celebration in the Piazza 100 yards from the apartment was really fun, safe and exciting.
We appreciated having a washer/dryer and the kitchen was adequate, although we didn't use it much. The only thing I asked for was extra pillows but was denied. They only provide one per person. The management was easy to work with and they were very helpful in arranging a private transport to and from the airport. We were given a comprehensive briefing upon arrival and good suggestions for nearby restaurants.
Overall we loved this apartment and would definitely stay here again. Thanks!
thank you for your review and kind appreciation. I also thank you for recognizing the management team as they are wonderful and very caring. I am sorry about the pillow: we will surely add extra pillows thanks your feedback.
We are just renewing the apartment to make it even more conformable. We hope to have you back in Rome.
Quiet apartment perfect for traveling with family or friends
My family and I recently stayed at this apartment for 5 nights. We are 2 adults and 3 young children. The arrangement of the apartment worked out well since the bedrooms are on opposite ends of the living space, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. There was plenty of space for everyone. The apartment was clean and in good order with everything we needed from a coffee machine to extra blankets. We used the washing machine and dryer several times which was important for us. It was cold during our visit to Rome, so I can't say how the air conditioner works, but the radiators kept things warm. We only used the small kitchen for making coffee and breakfast, but I think it had anything you would need to prepare meals. In general, the apartment was very comfortable and exactly what I expected.
The location of the apartment is good too. You are literally steps away from Camp de' Fiori and then just a short walk to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trastevere, etc. We walked everywhere (including the Vatican, Colosseum, Villa Borghese Gardens) and only took a taxi to the train station. There are so many restaurants, cafes and bakeries within a 10 minute walk that the decision-making can overwhelm you! So for the location, this apartment is great. And even though it is in center of a lot of activity, we felt safe and it was quiet.
Finally, communication with the owner(s) was always easy and all of my questions were promptly answered. The check-in process was smooth. We never had any problems.
Some things I would note for a potential guest are that the apartment has a sofa bed that we did not use since my kids fit into one bed, but I think that once the sofa bed is pulled out, the living room will feel cramped. The apartment is rather dark inside since all windows face an interior courtyard, and in December it definitely felt dim. However, maybe the lack of bright light is a bonus on a long summer day. I also note that there are a few steps down to one of the bedrooms.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment to my friends or family. Rome is a beautiful and amazing city, and staying at this apartment only contributed to how much we enjoyed our time there.
Best location in Rome: Walking distance to any of the main attractions, restaurants, bars, shopping. Most central location in Rome! Yet very quiet location. I bought the apartment because I could sleep so well in the private courtyard off Campo dei Fiori. Like many streets in the area, Via dei Cappellari gets its name from the profession of a number of its inhabitants, in this case the “hat-makers.” The palace where the apartment is located (Number 13) was owned by The Tebaldeschi family who owned various palazzi in the street and whose coat of arms, a rose, can still be seen on the Via dei Cappellari no. 13. The area is full of Rom's rich culture and history, too! For example, the building opposite my building, the one with the loggia and tower, was once owned by the Tebaldeschi Family - a well known Roman family. In addition, the Italian poet Pietro Trapassi, aka Metastasio, was born in the flat just under the arch in via dei Cappellari (no. 29) just down the street. There is a plaque which marks this historical fact.
