Lovely bright apartment situated in the heart of the Old Town with great views of the castle. The apartment is in on the quiet side of an apartment complex on busy West Port side off the Grassmarket. It is a homely and comfortably place you would want to return to at the end of a busy day.

It is well equipped with the modern convenience you would expect from microwave to Wifi. Crisp cotton sheets, comfortable beds, and a good heating system for those occasional cold days.

The area is rich in second hand book shops, interesting clothes, craft shops and excellent restaurants and cafes. The farmers market is held on Castle Terrace every Saturday morning and there you can buy all sorts of interesting local produce.

The location is excellent for visiting the castle and Royal Mile and also for the Film and International Festival as there are may cinemas and theater close by. From Princes Street to you can catch a bus to all parts of the city and that's about 5 minutes walk from the lane. You can also catch the airport express bus from Princes Street.

Keywords: First floor apartment, garage 4 floors down but there is a parking bay at the front of the building which is just 1 floor down from the apartment. There is no lift in the building. Parking is charged at £5 per day

Year Purchased: 2009

About the owner: I ran a bed & breakfast and self-catering cottages for a number of years before moving to Edinburgh. Having studied design all my apartments are thoughtfully furnished and tastefully decorated to make it a pleasure to be in them. They have a slight Scottish feel and a warm welcome. It's been a great pleasure meeting so many wonderful people from all over the world and I really enjoy what I do.

It's a brilliant location and the views of the castle are impressive. The apartment is also in quiet location in what is a busy and bustling area. There are lots of interesting antique shops nearby, good restaurants, pubs and cafes as well as many interesting places to visit. The apartment is light and airy and the brightness of the surrounding light painted buildings gives it a good feel.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
It's so central and close to theater, cinemas and the Royal Mile there's so much going on round about and so much to see and do. The area is very vibrant with it's open air markets and busy cafes.
