Guestbook comments from the owner

This was my husband's and three sons first trip to Boston and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space for all five of us. It had a fully stocked kitchen which was nice since we ate many meals at the the house. The location was also wonderful. The neighborhood includes local parks, shops and restaurants. We took advantage of the subway to downtown Boston which was a 7 minute walk , the Samuel Adams Brewery tour (15 minute walk), and the Harvard Arboretum (also within walking distance). The owner, Patrick, lives nearby and could not have been more gracious and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Loved it!

quaint house with antique Boston charm

  • 5 of 5

The house is a very nice older house. Slept 6 adults comfortably. It was a great home base, conveniently located 5 min from train station. We scheduled our vacation as a series of day trips, eating breakfast in at the house, taking trains or ferries as needed, and occasionally coming back in time for dinner. We figured out that stopping at Roche Bros at Downtown Crossing on the way home from downtown was extremely convenient for grocery shopping. There were several restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Jamaica Pond and the Arboretum are nice relaxing places to walk through. The house was clean and well maintained. Lots of towels. We even barbecued in the back yard one evening. Stephen and Patrick were gracious hosts.

Clean, cute, convenient

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home with our family of four. It was wonderful to have a room for each kid and two bathrooms. The location was amazing-short walk to the train, bus and anything one would need from town without having to fight Boston crowds. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable and it was a happy surprise to be able to wash our clothes in the middle of our stay! Thank you for a lovely stay in the Boston area!

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great home to rent - property was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Stephen and Patrick were a great help in pointing out great local places for meals and even suggested some great activities. My family and I were able to travel everywhere in Boston with a rail pass purchased from the Green St. station just a short walk from the house. I would highly recommend staying here.

Respite in Jamaica Plain

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home while visiting Boston for our daughter's graduation. After the ceremony we had wine and snacks in the large, beautifully landscaped back yard. Across the street is a park, and each morning and evening we watched the neighbors walk their happy dogs there. Various song birds visit the property. While in Boston, we visited the Harvard Art Museum, Paul Revere's home, the Old North Church, the JFK presidential library, and took an architecture tour of Beacon Hill. A couple of suggestions I would make would be to provide hand towels in the bathrooms (only bath towels and wash cloths were there when we visited), and if the front door had a separate screen door, air, light, and bird song could be enjoyed without letting bugs in. Thank you Patrick

Loved this Jamaica Plain home!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of five adults spent six nights here. We had plenty of room. The house could easily accommodate 6-7. The home is very charming and clean. It had all the amenities we needed. Patrick came over and introduced himself and answered our questions on our first night. The subway station is less than a five minute walk. Neighborhood is very quiet and charming. Would definitely stay again if we get back to the Boston area.
