Great Mountain Views, 3 Bdrm Home

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Great house for your stay in Tucson. MUCH CHEAPER THAN 2 HOTEL ROOMS. Brand New Carpet. You never had it so good! Whether you came to live, laugh, or meditate, or howl at the moon; you will love this little piece of the Wild West. This 3/2 Guest House is secluded in a 'saucer' formed of gentle hills. The VIEW OF THE CATALINAS is stupendous! This 1800 sq ft home is totally private with plenty of room to roam outside and inside. All the comforts of home are there: air conditioning, central heat, wide-screen TV, comfy couches and a deck so large it looks more like a stage than a deck. The 'backdrop' for that ”stage” is the grandeur of the Catalina Mountains, as big and as bold as one could ever expect. There’s plenty of room for you and your guests to lounge around the outdoor fireplace and watch the sun set.

It's a good place for your children or grand children to ride their bikes in the yard. Have friends who would like to hook up their RV? A high covered carport accommodates them with an electrical line that runs to the cabin.

This is a great spot not only for a family or a couple but it would be great for a writer or an artist who has some projects to complete and wants to feel like he is getting away from it all.

You are only a mile north of shopping and services at the intersection of La Cholla and River.

This 3/2 Guest House is secluded yet close to great suburban amenities and I-10. SWIM at nearby YMCA that offers heated pool and short term passes (No Charge for Silver Sneakers Members). A crib is available at no charge for babies.

Why The Owner chose Riverside Crossing

We set this house up for people looking for an alternative to expensive hotels. When we go on vacation we almost always use VRBO, with four kids it is much better than Hotels. It's on our 3 acre lot and totally private from our house. We have been making improvements and decided that it is time to share it as a vacation rental. As a casita, it's the largest in the area with everything you need to relax and enjoy Tucson.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy the great Fall, Winter and Spring weather, Hiking and Geo Caching in the Catalina Foothills. Great restaurants all over Tucson. Championship Golf Course within 20 minutes. The nearby shopping suits many needs.

Quiet but close to amneties

  • 4 of 5

Overall a wonderful place to stay. It feels like you are out in the country but everything is close and convenient. The linens, bedspreads and towels definitely are dated and worn and need replacement but were clean. In January, it gets pretty cold at night; heavier additional blankets would be nice.

Owner's Response: Lisa, Thanks for your feedback. We will get all new linens and towels ASAP. Sorry for missing they were getting a little dated. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Nice place as descrbed

  • 5 of 5

We had a good Thanksgiving stay at Coyote Cabin (really a house) and had two coyotes wander through our huge backyard on the first morning. Lots of birds and bunny rabbits and friendly horses along back fences. House stayed cool on some very warm days (90ish). Clean and well equipped. Internet was fast and TV large with huge channel selection. Location seemed very safe. Quick walk to Starbucks and shopping center; a little further gets you to the river hiking trail. We'd stay there again. Much better than a nice hotel or vacation condo up higher.

Close to everything, easy access and very private

  • 4 of 5

My sons and I stayed for 5 nights and found this home comfortable. Lots of room and privacy. Not upscale buy priced accordingly. Clean and orderly with all appliances and plenty of hot water. Very rustic with lots of birds and animals (we had three coyotes walk through the back yard while we were visiting on the deck. Thank you for a nice stay.

Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We felt like we were in the middle of the desert, but we were really close to everything, too. Coyote Cabin is appropriately named, as we heard coyotes howling on several nights. Would definitely stay here again!
