I stayed with my family at Tom and Rosemary’s lovely home in Cabo San Lucas and could not have had a better time. Located in a quiet little neighborhood up on the mountain, we felt like a local and not a tourist. Our stay included the 2nd level of the home with our own private access and we barely saw Tom and Rosemary, the hospitable hosts who live upstairs on the 3rd level since they have their own access as well. The view from the front deck over the Pacific was amazing. Getting up in the morning and enjoying the rising sun with our coffee as we watched the birds come to life and fleet of charter boats passing by, was our favorite. Several times we saw a fleet of whale watcher boats passing by, following humpback whales providing a spectacular performance. The binoculars provided by Tom came in very handy. The full-size kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for preparing meals. The living room has plenty of seating and the TV set provided enough opportunity to get distracted in the evening or listen to some music in the morning. The bathrooms were clean, and showers had warm water. The maid service was a nice bonus too. The house also has several other amenities worth mentioning, such as several gallons of drinking water available to you. The two-burner gas grill is excellent, a wood fireplace on the front deck is a nice plus too. The pool in the courtyard was super clean and well maintained. There are also two sets of snorkeling gear, parasols and a cooler available to take with you for your beach trips. The provided transportation was so helpful, and Tom and Rosemary’s suggestions for groceries, restaurants, beaches and booking tours were helpful as well. We hope to see them again some time.

Amazing hospitality and view!

This was our first trip to Cabo and it was perfect! Tom provided details prior to the trip on what to do when we cleared customs and he was waiting for us as he promised.

He loaned us his van which was super helpful with my 18mo old son. He took us to get some groceries and showed us around so we’ll have an idea of where to go from there. The sweetest thing he did was pull out a play pen for my son which came in handy.

The rest of he trip was great but if you’re looking for some guidance and a place to feel at home, this is it! Tom goes above and beyond to help you feel at home.

Highly recommend this home for your Cabo trip!

Comfortable living

  • 3 of 5

We travelled as a party of three adults and stayed here at the beginning of April 2018 and were happy with the accommodations. The kitchen is well equipped, bedrooms are comfortable and patio areas are ample and well situated allowing for access to sun or shade at most times of the day. The house was stocked with DVDs, books and lots of jazz CDs.

The access to a vehicle, in addition to the airport pick up/drop off, was a great added bonus.

Tom was a great host, available as needed but not intrusive.

The over all impressin was vey good.

  • 4 of 5

The listing was very accurate regarding location, layout, amenities, car , activities etc.The place was spotless on our arrival and through out our month long stay. Had a couple of small details that tom took care of right away. Iwould recommend this property to friends and relatives most definetly.

The view from the deck is what really sets this apart. We saw whales pretty well every day out front . Very relaxed holiday . The car is also a selling point. Easy to navigate around cabo and take in all the sights it has to offer. Last but not least is Tom. He is truly a man of many talents.Easy going and a wealth of information. I could go on and on but you have to experience it for yourself. A real bargain considering the prices for rent in Cabo. Enjoy!

Great quiet neighborhood Casa overlooking the ocean!

  • 5 of 5

We travel often to Cabo as it is one of our favorite destinations. We've stayed in different places around Cabo and chose this one because it was on the Pacific side and because of the value as well. Tom and Rosemary are wonderful hosts and they live on the separate third level of the house. They have been in Cabo since 1989 and it is enjoyable to hear stories from Tom as to how Cabo has changed and grown over the years. He is a wealth of information. :-) Our family of four plus our daughter's friend (two adults and three teenagers) stayed on the second level of the home which provided plenty of room for all of us. The patio overlooking the ocean is where we ate most of our meals and enjoyed peaceful relaxation time while hearing the ocean's crashing waves below. The Pacific breeze is so nice which is what you don't get when staying on the other side of Cabo. The private pool on the back patio is very refreshing especially on the hot July days. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and at the end of the road so no traffic noise and we felt secure at all times. Tom picked us up from the airport and drove us back to the airport at the end of our stay (about a 30 minute drive from the airport to Cabo) which was greatly appreciated as we know how much taxi companies charge. Internet access and local cell phone were nice to have. They also provided three huge jugs of filtered water during our stay. The use of an insured vehicle during the week was an added bonus as we spent the week volunteering with Feeding Los Cabos Kids and drove somewhere everyday. We are used to driving around Cabo and the Mexican way of driving so we had no issues getting around. Mega (now LaComer) grocery store is nearby as well as downtown and the marina. You can park for 4 hours in the parking garage of the mall near the marina for about $1.50 US. Local public beaches (Chilleno and Santa Maria) other than crowded Medano Beach are about 20 minutes away. The first day we were there we drove to Costco and to LaComer to get our groceries for the week. We cooked most meals at Casa Pacifica in the well-equipped kitchen. Housekeeping services mid-week was an unexpected treat. If Casa Pacifica is available for our future trips to Cabo, we would definitely stay here again. Tom was also very prompt in responding to our questions via email. If you like visiting Cabo more like a local and not in a tourist resort and enjoy peace and quiet then we highly recommend this Casa for your stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the detailed review of our guest accommodation. We especially enjoyed your visit because of your amazing generosity to the underprivileged children in this area. Until your arrival, we were not familiar with the group you are associated with that provides so much help, everyone here is indebted to you. Thank you! Sincerely, Tom & Rosemary

Add This to Your Bucket List!

There was 4 in my party who enjoyed the very clean and comfortable home of Tom and Rosemary. Tom was so accommodating, warm and helpful - picked us up from the airport, stopped at a grocery to pick up what we needed, and offered daily trips into town. But my brother-in-law drove us each day - easy to get around, and only a short drive into great shopping area. Most shop owners spoke enough English and offered sales in American dollars. The local food was over the top at about every place we ate - including the Italian place, Romeo and Julietta! Don't miss the little bar, Two for the Road! We went deep sea fishing and caught a striped marlin. The view from the condo was spectacular, and the private pool a real treat! Weather was perfect! Beaches were a short drive away - but worth it! Very affordable and super value!!!
