Apartment, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 1-2)
Charming, newly renovated studio with separate kitchen in our turn-of-the-century brownstone in Park Slope, Brooklyn, known as one of the most desirable neighborhoods in New York. The apartment is a completely separate unit, with its own private entry from the common entry hall.
Our street (Carroll Street) is quiet, tree-lined, and steps away from 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue's great restaurants, cafes, and trendy shops. Easy walking distance to Prospect Park, the jewel of Brooklyn, offering summer concerts, boating, horseback riding, zoo and ice skating in the winter. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum of Art, and Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) are also close by.
The location is an excellent base for exploring the rest of the city, with several subway lines within walking distance (5 minutes to R at Union Street and 10 minute walk to the Q or B trains at 7th Ave and the 2 or 3 trains at Grand Army Plaza).
The studio can comfortably accommodate two people and is ideal for week long vacations, weekend getaways, or temporary lodging. We've had many happy and satisfied guests from all over the United States and the world, including Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, Australia, and more.
The house and apartment are non-smoking.

Perfect studio apartment
Our son & his partner loved their private space in this studio apartment. They could slip down stairs and join the rest of the family in the lower level apartment as they wished. We could have used their large washroom /shower for wedding prep if needed but we didn't need to do so.
Ellis is the perfect host and gentleman. My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Ellis's apartment. The apartment and building has loads of character and charm; it is super comfortable and very well equipped. Carroll Street is a beautiful picturesque street and is particularly magical over the holiday season. Set in an ideal location in the best part of Brooklyn; just off 5th Ave and a short walk to the subway for Manhattan. We'd love to book one of Ellis's apartments again for our next trip to New York!
Thank you for the great review of our Studio apartment and "magical" neighborhood. We're passionate about life in Park Slope and agree that it strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and accessing the hub-bub and glamour of nearby Manhattan. We look forward to seeing you again!
Clean, comfortable and convenient!
Ellis was very responsive. Easy to checkin and out. Great location for touring Brooklyn museum, prospect park, botanical gardens. Convenient to shops and dining on 5th Ave, and subway into Manhatten. Great getaway.
Good to hear. We try to accommodate early arrivals and late departures as much as possible.
Great location for a great price.
My wife and I had a great time here. We really only slept at the house. We were sight seeing the rest of the time. The ease of access to the subway was the best thing about it. There were also several good eating places within walking distance. The park was also very nice. Brooklyn was just as nice to visit as Manhattan. Great views across the river from Brooklyn. We had no problems whatsoever.
Perfect little apartment in a great part of Park Slope. We'll be back for sure. Thank you Ellis and Claire!
Excellent location and space
This is a excellent place to stay in the heart of Park Slope. Perfect for a short stay. The bed was comfy for sure and the AC worked just fine.
The apartment is very quiet as the window is to the backyard which provided a pretty view.
The kitchen was fine for our purposes. Fridge was big enough and it was comfy sitting there. We did not use the kitchen for cooking.
Bathroom was really nice. Big, comfy shower. Hot water was fine. Not crowded at all.
Extremely well located, just off of Fifth and a half mile from the entrance to Prospect Park from the main entrance. Located close to lot so restaurants and shopping.
Sherry, one of the owners, met us there and was friendly and nice.
DEFINITELY recommend this for others. Really a good price also.
