Charming, newly renovated studio with separate kitchen in our turn-of-the-century brownstone in Park Slope, Brooklyn, known as one of the most desirable neighborhoods in New York. The apartment is a completely separate unit, with its own private entry from the common entry hall.
Our street (Carroll Street) is quiet, tree-lined, and steps away from 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue's great restaurants, cafes, and trendy shops. Easy walking distance to Prospect Park, the jewel of Brooklyn, offering summer concerts, boating, horseback riding, zoo and ice skating in the winter. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum of Art, and Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) are also close by.
The location is an excellent base for exploring the rest of the city, with several subway lines within walking distance (5 minutes to R at Union Street and 10 minute walk to the Q or B trains at 7th Ave and the 2 or 3 trains at Grand Army Plaza).
The studio can comfortably accommodate two people and is ideal for week long vacations, weekend getaways, or temporary lodging. We've had many happy and satisfied guests from all over the United States and the world, including Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, Australia, and more.
The house and apartment are non-smoking.
I'm a meeting and event producer and a long-time Brooklyn resident. I'm interested in all the culture that NYC has to offer and in nice weather I tool around the city on my Vespa!
The Owner purchased this apartment in 1988
This property had been my primary residence, but now I also own a vacation home where I spend much of my time.
Park Slope, Brooklyn is a great neighborhood with many shopping and dining options, as well as easy access to all the cultural activities of New York City. We like to sit on our stoop and greet our neighbors coming and going.
We enjoyed our stay very much: cute apartment, our favorite neighborhood in New York, dinner at Al De La.
Our time here was too brief. Thanks!

Since the location of the studio is close to our new grandchild, my husband and I decided to try it out. The space was a good fit for our needs. It is clean and neat, comfortable and quiet. I hope it will be available for our next visit!

This is a perfect place to stay in Brooklyn! It is charming, exceptionally clean, and has everything you need to be comfortable for a day, week or month. Ellis & Sherry are unbelievably gracious hosts!!! The kitchen is fully equipped and the sparkling bath is lovely, with a gorgeous shower that is particularly inviting. The location is superb, with lots of wonderful shops and restaurants just steps away and easy access to key Brooklyn attractions. My husband and I loved this place and will definitely plan on staying there again.
We rented this studio because it was close to our kids and new granddaughter. We loved staying here. It's in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with restaurants and bodegas nearby. Imagine my surprise to find one of my favorite restaurants in Park Slope just a few minutes walk from here. Ellis was great to work with and we had his cell number in case of any problems. The studio was clean and cozy and well maintained. We were sad to leave. It was so good being back in NY. It's an easy walk to the subway but the entire neighborhood is charming and safe and friendly. The apartment is perfect for two people and the bathroom is wonderful - great big beautiful shower with fluffy towels. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful. We will be back many more times.
Great location! Tops our list of places to stay in Brooklyn for a couple. Awesome shower. Shari and Ellis made everything about our stay as quick and effortless as can be. Stayed busy having wonderful food , visiting museums and walking through prospect park. Lovely place, lovely folks!
We were in town for a Brooklyn wedding weekend, with visits to Manhattan. This apt. was well located for it all! Three blocks from the "R" line into Manhattan, yards from 5th Ave. and it's shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants, but situated on a quiet and quaint street. The apartment itself (it's bigger than a classic studio) was great for two adults - room to move around, a perfect sized kitchen and a great bathroom (the shower could fit 4!). The trip up the front steps and inside stairs with luggage took some energy after a very long day of travel, but well worth the effort. And you can't beat the price! We were recommending it to friends before we left Brooklyn, and will stay there again if back in the area. P.S. Ellis is a hoot, and provided needed information for the area.
