The Isle of Palms is only 20 minutes to downtown Charleston and the airport. Plenty of beaches and restaurants, shops and bars.

Perfect house, great location!

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The location cannot be beat! - one block to the beach and a few blocks to the shops and restaurants. A quick drive (3 miles-ish) over to Sullivan's Island and only 20 mins to downtown Charleston. Our dog loved being able to go to the beach each morning (off leash until 9am!) as well as play in the fenced yard. Our group of eight had plenty of room to spread out and loved the different levels and outdoor areas. The wagon and beach chairs were definitely a bonus and made setting up shop at the beach all day so easy. It is well maintained and Rita and Bob are super easy to get in touch with. If you are looking for a place on IOP this is it!

A Perfect Engagement

The owners (Rita & Bob) were very easy to get in touch with & were very organized & helpful on every level. The home is such a beautiful oasis getaway. We absolutely loved the porch, screened-in porch, deck area, & entire pool area is one of the most relaxing places I've seen at IOP. Read a book, play with your children or dog, or just relax by the pool. There is sufficient shade or sun in different areas of the backyard, depending on which you prefer. It was absolutely gorgeous! The downstairs has been completely redone, & the laundry room is amazing. It even has 2 refrigerators - 1 on each level! You could stay home all day in the gorgeous backyard or walk the short block or so to the beach or Windjammer's if you like live music. It's a very short (around 5 minutes) drive to Sullivan's Island where Poe's & other great restaurants are too! Renting bikes or walking down to the pier was so much fun too. The grocery store is right around the corner if you need anything at all. The homeowners have already taken care of everything, including having your trash & recycling rolled out & brought back ok the correct days & having the yard guys & pool guy come. We loved the layout of the house, especially how the kitchen overlooks the den area, so everyone can interact together in the openness while preparing dinner. We had an absolute blast & cannot wait until we get to return again to Rita & Bob's spectacular home.

PS- if you have small children or dogs, they even have a temporary fence you can put up around the pool! This home is definitely a house for people & families of all ages with LOTS of room!

Great house, great location

We were searching for a place that would allow a dog and found this one. It was perfect. We hung out on the screened in porch and lolled around the pool and relaxed in the living room with wine and cheese. We walked the oh-so-short walk to the beach and watched our dog frolic in the waves. We returned and used the hose to wash him off before we all took showers and walked to our favorite restaurant on IOP or drove into Charleston for more dinners and shopping and sight seeing. This was the perfect place for a most relaxed vacation.

A great house for a fun getaway.

The house is fantastic! Everyone in our group had very positive comments about its comfort, cleanliness and location. The house will work for almost any group including parents with children, grandparents and grandchildren. After a long day of sightseeing in Charleston or golfing at one of the nearby courses, the house was a welcome place to come back to relax and reenergize. Isle of Palms is a quaint little community with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance from the house. The beach is very close by and is easily accessible. I would definitely return and I give it my highest recommendation.

Wonderful family vacation home

This house was fabulous. It was so comfortable, well maintained and well appointed. Our family members - ranging from ages 5 to 71 - were each happy and enjoyed the accommodations. The walk to the beach was short and enjoyable and the "town" was a 5 minute walk as well. The pool was clean and relaxing and the backyard so picturesque. We would definitely return. The owner was so easy to work with and responsive. There was a problem with the upstairs air unit the second day of our stay and she immediately responded, making sure the problem was addressed ASAP ... A new AC unit was installed within 24 hours of my email to her! I highly recommend this house to a vacationing family or group of women.

Spacious family vacation home

This beautiful 908 Carolina Blvd. home has everything a family would need to enjoy a very relaxing and comfortable vacation. Kitchen is well stocked for large family meals. Bedrooms spread out for privacy and decorated very tastefully. The living room had a great sound system and large screen TV perfect if in the kitchen or at the dining room table. Pool and chairs around the pool help to accommodate a large family reunion with children. Nice to have beach chairs and a stroller for the beach! The owner responded immediately to a call when we checked in. She was very helpful to let us know about “Restaurant Week” going on in Charleston and the surrounding area. We all liked being close to restaurants, a massage cottage, souvenir shops and the beach of course. We made frequent trips to and from the airport with two cars and that was an easy 25 minutes. Great memories!
