Overview

About the property

cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

This private property is perfect for the equestrian and the non-equestrian. Join us on a ride to the beach, on your horse or ours and enjoy the sunset. We offer care for your horses while you visit. Take rides under beautiful moss-draped trees in the old plantation where Forest Gump was filmed. Our farm was voted 'Best Of Beaufort' and featured on RFD-TV on the Julie Goodnight Show.

Ask about our horses used in a Robert Redford movie!

We are not just for the equestrian: wonderful beaches, shopping, tours, and all the activities of downtown Beaufort await you.

We are also located less than one half hour from Paris Island for military families wishing to add some additional memories to a graduation ceremony, or who just need the convenience of three bedrooms,a kitchen and multiple baths, etc.

The Low Country of South Carolina is a beautiful area to visit. Many areas of interest and the City of Beaufort offer many festivals during the year. There is something to entertain everyone, of all ages. Hunting Island State Park is located five minutes from our farm and is the perfect beach to enjoy the Atlantic ocean with a good book. In the winter months the park opens it's beaches to horses. Beautiful miles of beaches to ride: A horse person's dream!

We also have the 'little beach' which is a 10-15 min. walk from the cottage or hop on the golf car (call 843-524-6502 for rental information) and get there in a jiffy! Either way, You are sure to enjoy your almost private beach!

We know that time off from your regular life is important and we promise to give you the best experience for a reasonable price.

Convenient and pleasant. We kept our horses at the stables on the property and enjoyed riding on the trails and the beach.

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Excellent location for family vacation. Very convenient to Hunting Island. Quiet and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked and my family enjoyed many of our evening meals in the property's dining room. Horse ride along the beach was amazing. We brought our kayaks and at high tide this property is within a mile of a beach area along the sound to put them in. Also about a mile from a boat ramp on a creek feeding into the Harbor River for kayaks or larger boats. We will stay again for sure; lots of room for the price.

Fabulous trip for horse lovers!

  • 5 of 5

Great place to take your horse to the beach! Quiet and secluded! Beautiful riding along the beach, down an oak draped trail, along the marsh. Beaufort is close and convenient for sightseeing and delicious meals!

So much fun!

  • 5 of 5

I went with two girlfriends on a weekend horse get away. It was a wonderful trip and we had a great time!! My only suggestion would be a more detailed map of the trails/roads that are allowed to be ridden on by horse/rider. There were less trails than we expected but plenty of dirt roads to ride on nearby the beach that were very beautiful. We plan to come back in the future! Thank you for having us!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! You are right I do need to work on our map..... I am sorry that many of the trails on the farm it's self were not passable. We had about 150 large trees that came down during the hurricane. We have still a lot more work to do to remove them from the trails on the farm... Always so much work to do here LOL Please do come back to see us.....

Everything was great!

  • 5 of 5

The home had everything we needed so the only thing we needed to bring was ourselves and our food and drinks. The house is nestled in some trees and a great location to the beach. The farm is beautiful and even though we were not able to bring the horses along we enjoyed walking around the farm every evening. The staff was great and so helpful!!
