About The Owner

Randy and Cindy Hodapp and three kids own this nice cabin in the mountains

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2002

Why The Owner chose Grand Lake

We love the mountains and decided it would be nice to have a place called our own where we can go and get away and enjoy the peace and quiet mountain area. Also, we are close to the Rocky Mountain National Park where you can enjoy seeing all the animals.

What makes this cabin unique

There is a lot to do in the Grand Lake area, golfing, fishing, hiking, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling. Also, there is a lot to do in town, Grand Lake where you can sit and look at the boats, dining and things for the kids to do (putt-putt and bumper cars)

The house was very clean and just as described

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin and it was perfect for our family and plenty big enough to sleep all 7 comfortably. We would definitely return.

Perfect location & great cabin

  • 4 of 5

My family had a great time staying at this property. The cabin is comfortable and clean and in a perfect location. The only negative that kept me from giving 5 stars would be that some of the towels are getting pretty worn. I had several that had holes in them, but they were all clean and fresh. The lake is so nice and the use of the boats added to our enjoyment. My family fished and played on the boats all day. We were able to see a Moose from the dock of the lake 2 days in a row and saw lots of other wildlife there as well. The village of Grand Lake was only 5 minutes away as was the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park so there was plenty to do without going far. We would definitely return to this location without a second thought.

Pleasant View, Tennessee

Great Cabin in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here when our RV didn't happen. We were sitting in a parking lot scrolling thur VRBO looking for somewhere desperately to stay. We had just drove up from Nashville. I tried emailing several places and Cindy was the first to get back to me and WOW were we lucky. This turned out to be one of the best vacations ever. The cabin was very clean and well stocked for anything you could want to do or cook. The beds were comfortable. The lake out back was awesome for the kids they had a great time canoeing and fishing. The view was to die for. It is far enough away from everything to feel like you are away from everything but close enough to get to anything if you need it. Wildlife was everywhere and RMNP is at you back door.

Great Cabin! Can Walk into RMNP

  • 5 of 5

We have rented many cabins in the past by Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) and we liked this the best! One can walk into park, the river is close by for fly fishing, kids loved fishing on the lake and using the paddle boat. Cabin has everything for a family get away and then some.

Viewed lots of wildlife close to the cabin. Horse back riding stable just a half a mile away and rides go into RMNP. We rode our bikes, went hiking, boating and wildlife viewing and enjoyed a couple of fine meals in the town of Grand Lake as well as at the Historic Grand Lake Lodge. Had family from Florida staying with us at the cabin and we all agree we need to come again. We would highly recommend this cabin for the full Colorado and RMNP experience.

Wonderful, quite, clean cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. The beds were great. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the area was. The layout of the cabin was a little unclear, 2 of the bedrooms share a half wall and the twin beds are in a loft that would really only be suitable for school age kids. (but this worked out just fine for us)

The lake provided plenty of fun for the kids and adults alike and the Colorado was only a couple minutes walk away. The owners were very easy and pleasant to work with. We hope to make an annual visit!
