About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Are you looking to get away from it all? This Cabin at Lemon Reservoir is the definition of Peace and Quiet, interrupted only by the wind in the pines and birds chirping. The newly remodeled Cabin marries rustic charm with luxury, inviting your group to both explore the outdoors and relax in comfort. Upstairs you will find one bedroom with a double bed, opening into a loft with half bathroom and a futon/sitting area. In the downstairs living area you will enjoy a beautiful kitchen with brand new appliances and modern amenities, a bathroom, shower and washer/dryer. The futon converts into another bed, and you can spend time looking at the beauty out the windows during the day, or gazing at the gas powered stove on cool evenings. Outside you can sit and enjoy the mountains from the deck or make a fire to roast marshmallows in the fire pit.

It is about a 10 minute walk to the Reservoir, where you can take in the undiscovered beauty and enjoy a wide variety of activities - swimming, fishing, canoeing, boating, hiking, biking, running. Experience the adventures of mountain living, while keeping the comforts of home!

A 20 minute drive to Durango provides even more opportunities for adventure, including the coal fired Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Rail Road, rafting, golfing, night life, shopping, fine dining. It's the perfect Colorado getaway!

About Trish

The Cabin has been in the family for 40 years. We recently remodeled it, bringing it up to 21st century standards. Now, it is a beautiful, relaxing retreat for all of us and we hope to share it with others.

Trish purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Trish chose Southwest

Lemon is a short trip from Durango, where we live. We are able to 'get away' to the mountains to relax and have fun with the kids. Lemon is an undiscovered, quiet, gorgeous reservoir where we can fish, boat, canoe, hike and go 4-wheeling. For the most part we love it because it is breathtakingly beautiful.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is very secluded. Lemon Reservoir is not very populated. The cabin is on a road that has only 3 cabins on it so you don't see many people, only the two other neighbors who live up there year round. The Cabin doesn't have television or cable so we spend time hiking, playing by the lake and the streams during the day and talking, enjoying our family and playing games at night.

Quiet Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this cabin for a birthday vacation for me & my husband. A short drive from Durango on a beautiful country road nestled in the woods is this perfectly quiet cabin. Within walking distance to the Lemon Resovoir & creek. The cabin was very clean & had everything we needed to cook outside or inside. I will recommend the cabin to my friends and hopefully we will be back. The owner Trish was so nice & helpful when I booked the cabin. Only 20 minutes from Durango - so it's easy to pick up groceries or go out to eat at the many restaurants. If you want peace & quiet this is IT!

No wi-if or TV. Loved it!!!!

A very nice getaway for our family vacation

  • 4 of 5

What a peaceful and relaxing place to take our 2015 family vacation. If you're looking for solitude and peace and quiet, this is your place. Situated on the beautiful Lemon Reservoir, the only sounds we heard were those of the wildlife in the woods surrounding us. We had cookouts over an open fire pit and many memories made. Would love to return to this property in the future.

Incredible!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just spent a week at the cabin, and what an incredible week we had. We took walks down to the water, went hiking and exploring in the forests, visited Silverton and Mesa Verde National Park. And at night, what a view, I had forgotten just how beautiful the night sky is without all of the lights of neighborhoods and cities distorting it. But the best part was just sitting and talking and listening to nature without all of today’s interruptions. This is definitely the place to go if you wish to get away from it all. All the comforts of home without all of the distractions.

The owners are extremely helpful friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay wonderful.

Great Quiet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a week at this cabin. It was so nice to "get away from it all". We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the front porch without being interrupted by all the normal electronic distractions. The cabin was neat, well maintained and accurately described. I would recommend this location as a nice retreat.

Secluded and Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

What a wonderful place! All the comforts of home but in a secluded, relaxing location. The cabin served as a great homebase to explore SW Colorado - Durango, Mesa Verde, Telluride, etc. We spent 5 days at the cabin with our 21 month old daughter and it was baby-friendly. Be forewarned that there is no television, phone, internet, or cell service, but that is exactly what we needed. Highly recommend this great place!

This was a perfect retreat.

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time renting a cabin and the experience was great!

The photos don't give justice to how lovely the area is or how cosy and pleasent the cabin is. The cabin itself was very clean and well organized. If you want seclusion and privacy this place is ideal. My husband and I were the only guests this time, but we intend to visit again with our kids. The owners were very nice and helpful. I have only been home 1 day and have already reccomended this property to my sister. Durango is exactly 17 miles away, so an easy drive in for shopping and supplies.

I just hope this is available the next time we are able to plan a trip to the area.
