A winding road brings you to 28 Oleander Way at Leverick Bay. This secluded hillside home enjoys quiet privacy in a lush tropical setting above the azure waters of spectacular North Sound, with views of surrounding islands. SEA DREAM has recently been renovated and redecorated. Outside tiled archway decks are throughout the villa. The main level is handsomely outfitted in a tropical theme with wrap around sofa and wicker seating, enhanced by lofty cedar cathedral ceilings.
Separating the Great Room is a new beautifully appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter-tops, which flow seamlessly to a wrap around deck and a shaded alfresco dining area. On one side of the Great Room, is an air conditioned Master Suite with a walk in closet, desk, and newly renovated Master Bath with marble counter-tops, walls and shower area.
There are two 32 in. flat screen television sets available.
An interior staircase connects to SEA DREAM's lower level, which features a second air conditioned bedroom that shares a newly renovated marble bath with a third twin double bedroom. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and are equipped with wall safes.
All bedrooms offer private covered verandas with seating to thoroughly enjoy the views of the sea. Both lower bedrooms open directly to the pool and sundecks where lounge chairs abound. There is a shaded area with a hammock and refreshing outdoor shower. For cooler days we have added a heat pump to the pool to maximize your soaking pleasure while looking out over the sea.

In 1985, on a sailing vacation, we sailed our boat, Carapan, through the entrance to North Sound, via Colquhoun Reef. A steady breeze headed us toward Leverick Bay. Rising from the shoreline was a beautiful green hillside. Could we ever be so lucky, to have a home overlooking the magnificent blue waters of North Sound. As we explored the white sand beaches, swam in the crystal blue waters and worshiped the sun, with the average 85 degree weather, we thought wouldn't it be wonderful if we could own a small part of this. What a nice dream! We began inquiring about purchasing land. After 2 years of negotiating the complexities of local government rules and regulations, we were able to purchase a hillside lot in Leverick Bay, and of course, overlooking North Sound. My entry to paradise is Sea Dream.
Edie purchased this house in 1989
We made our final decision to build our home on Virgin Gorda, because of the wonderful friendly and welcoming native population. There is always a good morning and greetings from everyone you meet. There is virtually no poverty, no prejudice and no crime. There are no other islands that we had ever visited that we could feel so comfortable. Virgin Gorda is known for it's magnificent beaches. Savanah Beach, Spring Bay national Park, Devil's Bay and of course, the Baths, which attracts visitors from all over the world. Leverick Bay is a magnificent waterfront location. A short walk brings you to the resort area. There is an excellent restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Large swimming pool, tennis court, local food market, launder mat, small boat rental, complete PADI DIVING EXPERIENCE, massage SPA. Best of all, walk to the end of the dock and hail a free water taxi to the resorts and restaurants along the shores of North Sound. These include Saba Rock, Biras Creek and The Bitter End.
Our home offers extremely comfortable nooks and corners for sitting under covered verandas and feeling the cool trade winds on your skin. It is fascinating to watch the parade of boats that come and go through the reef lined entrance of North Sound. The sundeck and pool provide hours of relaxation. When you get hungry, our newly renovated kitchen is a cook's delight. We enjoy gardening and where else can you get, so much sunshine, most of the year. Nighttime is amazing. Since there are no reflecting lights the sky becomes a world of sparkling white stars.
I am writing to you from the deck of your amazing home on Virgin Gorda. We just love it here!
We are doing everything and nothing! Slow mornings reading on your deck, snorkeling every day and rented a Hobie Cat yesterday from the Bitter End..wow...what a spot.
The pool is fantastic...we enjoy cocktails in the pool at the end of each day!
I just had to write and thank you for renting this place.
Your place is truly over the top with extra amenities. C.S. is currently reading one of the novels off th shelf and we will mot likely wtch one of the movies on the shelf soon.
Thanks for all the thought that has gone into making this place so extra special and comfortable We appreciated the work that has gone into making that happen.
Agreed. I am an engineer and have carefully studied the years of thoughtfulness and creativity that went into what you have done here. You have surely created a relaxing and functional haven in probably one of the most gorgeous spots on earth. Thank you.
Don't make the same mistake that we made by booking Sea Dream for a week. The reason is simple--a week is not enough time to enjoy all that Virgin Gorda and this villa have to offer. With only a week to enjoy the local beaches and to do some island hopping, we did not have enough time to thoroughly enjoy all the amenities right at our fingertips--the heated salt-water pool and the extensive verandas with panoramic views of Leverick Bay. Fortunately, we did have a chance to briefly enjoy the views as we ate our breakfast before heading off for some adventure. We would especially like to thank Letica who promptly responded to our requests and made our car rental arrangements before we arrrived. Although driving on Virgin Gorda was a challenge, we found that the cost of a car rental was a fraction of what we would have paid for taxi fares. Our two top recommendations--Savannah Bay and the Bitter End Yacht Club that is available by free ferry service from Gun Creek.
Great 10 days on virgin gorda. Villa has everything you need. Well equipped. Comfortable in every way. Great outdoor areas. Shared with another couple never feel like you're in each others way. It's great to just walk down the hill and have the resort and marina right there. Hop over to Saba rock and bitter end great food. Don't miss the Friday night bbq at leverick.bay. I've been renting villas in the bvi and usvi for 25 years if you choose sea dream you will not be disappointed. .thanks to edie and her staff for taking care of all our needs.
Thank you for sharing your little bit of paradise with us. Your home on Virgin Gorda is a wonderful place to stay. Leverick Bay is a quiet and serene location and we enjoyed our first visit to this little corner of the world to celebrate our anniversary. The location provides all the privacy and views of the Bay one could want and yet is very convenient to the resort’s dining and grocery store. We want to compliment the management team of Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals that represent you on the island. They went above and beyond to assist us and make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you again.
Thank you so much! We were delighted to find such an attractive, well-equipped home for our first villa stay in Virgin Gorda. We have been there many times on yacht charters but found it was convenient and pretty comfortable to have a home base from which to explore the island. Just walking in the front door to a beautiful living space and gorgeous view was enough to convince us this home would be perfect for us and my sister's family. The housekeeping and landscaping personnel did an excellent job! We had a few disappointments though. Not having access to the washer/dryer led to having to spend a half-day down at Leverick doing laundry which took time out of our vacation and the mattresses were amuch too firm for our taste. I think that at another time of the year the mosquito population may not have been such a big problem but it was sad to have the house buttoned up all the time to avoid their intrusion. That necessity kept the house quite stuffy, especially in the evening. We didn't have issues with them in the A/C bedrooms but the third bedroom became unbearable with heat when the windows were closed and way too warm and buggy when the windows were open. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay, with just a few exceptions, and would recommend this lovely home to future travelers. Thanks again for all your hospitality!
This house met and surpassed all our expectations. Lots of space inside, exceptional space outside, privacy, a view that just continued to impress. My wife and I spent 9 nights there and enjoyed the island, Leverick Bay down below and the villa. I would go on and on but hate to see it becomes so popular that it will be hard to get rental dates- Thanks sooooo much
Sea Dreams was the absolute perfect home for us. We had two families and the space was more than enough. The view was spectacular. The kids loved the pool. We already are trying to figure out when we can return. We loved the outdoor living space. We were outside more than in!
Thanks for sharing your lovely home.
