Guestbook comments from the owner

Great vacation home in Frisco!, August 16, 2010

Our group of 18 (4 families) had a fantastic time at this home. The view every day was gorgeous! It had plenty of room for the 10 kids to sleep & play, plenty of area for each familiy to have it's own space. Great kitchens and convenient laundry rooms, well stocked, never needed anything extra. It was central to many activities (Breckenridge, Keystone, whitewater rafting in Kremmling, RMNP, Pike's Peak). Lake Dillon was beautiful (only 1 block walk to lakefront) and Frisco had beautiful hiking too. The owners were very professional and answered our many questions. We will definitely stay here again...maybe in ski season! I would recommend to anyone looking for space for 3-5 families and want a central location to lots of activities.

Spacious & great location, but badly needs upkeep

  • 2 of 5

PROS: Great layout with bedrooms spread out across 3 floors, giving everyone privacy and never feeling cramped over a week-long stay. Location is great, walkable to downtown Frisco with tons of eating/shopping options and very easy drives to Breckenridge, Vail, Keystone (great for kids), etc.

CONS: The house hasn't been maintained well, and I'd caution folks with young kids. Black mold in bathrooms, peeling paint, very old/sagging beds, stained carpets, exposed nails, various lights not working, odors in the blankets/furniture, air hockey table coming apart, and generally dusty/dirty throughout. Just needs a really thorough cleaning and maintenance sweep, and the house will be great. We informed the owners directly and they said they'll go out there to address it.

A little bit of Frisco heaven!

  • 5 of 5

We are repeat visitors in this large VRBO property. Our 25 member XC team is a tight squeeze, but the facilities are perfect for us. Three large levels allow segregation of sexes; a wonderful & well stocked kitchen - lots of team meals. We also love the large deck, hot tub, and fire pit area below the deck. The home needs some routine maintenance & is receiving it ... the hot tub service arrived on one of the days we were there. The neighborhood is beautiful. The walk to downtown historic Frisco is gorgeous along a paved trail! We found a running trail right down the road that went out along the Dillon reservoir to a campground.

Modest pricing for modest accommodation

  • 3 of 5

The house was clean and big. Great location. All that said the experience wasn't very gracious. We've done lots of VRBO and I feel like more energy was put into communicating the fines that existed for various activities than making people feel welcome. At least two beds were really uncomfortable, aged with a ridge in the middle or 4" foam on top of mattress that should've been replaced. It was just so so but again, it was probably appropriately priced. I don't plan on rebooking in the future.

June 2017

  • 4 of 5

We loved the location and amenities at this home; within walking distance to Lake Dillon marina and downtown Frisco. Large home - easy for a large group of people to enjoy. Nice community of homes - quiet. Our only negative was regarding the bedding/linens. The 3rd floor bedroom had only a foam "topper" instead of a mattress - small adults rolled toward the middle requiring one of the couple to sleep in the "bunk" room with the children. The knit sheets in one of the downstairs bedrooms were so rough that the occupant felt their skin was being exfoliated all night long - thus poor sleep. All of the adults mentioned that the pillows needed to be replaced. Several mentioned that their towels were rough, worn and needed to be updated. There was mold in one of the lower level showers - so it wasn't used. We would definitely stay at this home again if the above changes were addressed. The owner was nice and communication was prompt - online and by phone.

Perfect for our group's weekend cycling event!

  • 5 of 5

This space works really well for a large group. Everything was in order except the cleaner didn't show up, but the owner was super-responsive so, while a little aggravating at first, we recovered and had a fabulous weekend. The location is perfect - on the bike path so we could do rides to Breckenridge, Keystone and Vail right from the house.

Off-site parking is becoming more difficult as many places do not allow cars to be left overnight, so plan to have 6 cars or less.
