About Lake County and Clear Lake: Clear Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the State of California and second oldest lake in the world! Visitors enjoy fishing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, water-skiing, boating, and riding jet skis. There are 11 free boat launch ramps around the lake, and individuals can rent boats and personal watercraft from several local businesses. Clear Lake can be found in beautiful Lake County, approximately 120 minutes northwest of Sacramento and 120 minutes northeast of San Francisco. For thirteen consecutive years Lake County has the cleanest air in all of California. Winters are mild here, generally 40s and 50s and Summer temperatures are usually in the 80s and 90s.
The lake itself is truly magnificent. It stretches nearly twenty miles in length and includes over 100 miles of shoreline. Considered a 'warm water' lake, the bass fishing is unrivaled as witnessed by the many fishing tournaments held here annually.

Nice and quiet getaway.
Lovely house to spend even a quick little getaway vacation at. Wish we could've speng more time there.
Comfortable place and great birding
The place is situated with a lovely view of the lake and ample space inside and out. The bed was comfortable and kitchen well appointed for cooking dinners. There was no place to walk the dogs along the lakeshore from the house but the state park is a nice spot and we mostly visited the many amazing wildlife refuges and great walking trails off highway 20.
This was our first stay at the smaller neighboring property and it was wonderful. Clean and well equipped. We unfortunately booked during the time all the fires started in the area. We were notified by the property owners of the fire close by before we even had time to worry about it. Although the fires did not effect the property, the owners offered to alter our reservations if we needed. We stuck with our reserved dates and besides a little smoke, had a wonderful stay. We had about a half an hours worth of a nearby either car or home alarm going off early in the AM and the dishwasher is a little stubborn and needs a special touch to get working but other than those things, I would most definitely recommend this property for your next visit. For the larger groups, they have a bigger house that is just a joy to stay in right next door.
Hi Daniel, thanks for being a repeat customer! We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for letting us know about the dishwasher. We had it serviced and the problem with latch has been resolved. We also spoke to our neighbor about his alarm. It malfunctioned on his vacation home and he is working on resolving the issue. Look forward to seeing you back in the future!

This home is modern, well-cared for and in a quiet location with beautiful views. An outdoor deck would have made it perfect - but since it's on a cleared hillside there were plenty of places to set up chairs outdoors and a well-placed picnic table. The owners responded quickly to my questions, and I plan to return here in the future.
Quite and very peaceful place for those who enjoyed and like to getaway from the busy city life.
We have really enjoyed our entire stayed at place, it's quite and peaceful, we'll definitely rent this place again in the future. Sheng & Leo
