Our oversized 2 bedroom condominium is situated just seconds away from the Winter Park/Mary Jane ski slopes in the Iron Horse complex. Iron Horse is one of two complexes in Winter Park that has true ski-in/ski-out capabilities via the Mary Jane trail. The 1500 square foot unit is very contemporary and consists of two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully furnished kitchen and spacious living area. The master bedroom has a king size bed, TV, spacious closet with room for all of your mountain gear, and a full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. The second room has two sets of bunk beds, one set is a pair of twin beds and the other consists of a double bed on the bottom and a twin on top. There is a full bathroom attached to this room as well.
The kitchen has all of the amenities needed for efficient cooking, an island that seats three, and a dining room table for six as well. The living area has two leather sofas, a TV with cable, DVD and VCR capabilities. The queen size Murphy bed is also located in the living area. There is a wall divider and bar sink/mirror to act as a third bedroom. From the patio, you are very close to the pool and hot tubs..... close enough to watch the kids right from the condo!
The Winter Park base area village is a short ski/walk/car ride away! There, you will find some great restaurants and shopping.

Not really ski-in/ski-out and awkward lighting but great otherwise
The condo is either a short walk to the lift shuttle or a long walk to the slope but not ski-in/ski-out so I think that was a bit misleading. The lighting was very awkward and dark and bulbs were out - we moved the standing lamp to the kitchen to get more light there.
The bed capacity was wonderful and fit 5 of us perfectly. It was decently clean at the surface but pretty dusty if you moved any pieces of stationary objects. I’ve stayed at a true ski-in / ski-out that was much nicer and cleaner for less BUT this place wasn’t bad...just not the quality I would have expected for the price.
I love Winter Park and will be back but probably won’t stay at this one again. However I would still say this was 3 our of 5 stars which means average!
Thank you for the feedback. The Iron Horse is a large complex which is ski in and out. The access point is at the Bridge off of the Corridor ski trail. It is true that you will need to cross the Bridge and walk to your unit. There is no need to take a shuttle but one is available.
This place was perfect. Big enough for all 8 of us to sleep and hang out after a day of snow. The kitchen is well stocked and big enough to cook while chatting. We will try to come here again.
Functional property for large family/group; Good location
The location of the property was good (a short walk through a couple of buildings to get to the green run that takes you to the base of Winter Park), and the space in the living/dining/kitchen area was nice and open for large groups. There was also a ton of room for ski gear storage, which was great. This particular unit was on the ground floor with very close proximity to the hot tub/pool/fitness area, which was very convenient except when there's a loud group out there late. The quality of the unit inside was just fair. Several light bulbs were out or missing when we arrived, the washer didn't seem to be functioning properly, the master tub faucet leaked on the floor while the tub/shower was on, there were nailheads sticking up from some of the floor thresholds. We were also asked to pay for the property using three separate checks, which wasn't the most convenient. Overall, it got the job done for our group trip, but I doubt we would seek it out again.
We always welcome feedback. It would be best to let me know while you are in the unit so I can better take care of any issues. There are usually spare light bulbs in the unit. If not, I am happy to bring some over. I have not had a complaint about the washer or leaky faucet. The owner visits his unit several times a winter so I will ask him to look at these 2 issues. In fact, he is there now!

Great place to stay!
This condo location is ideal for a summer stay as it is a short 1/4 mile walk from the base of the mountain village. The condo is not at all fancy and is perfect for a large family. We absolutely loved out time in WP and would recommend this condo to anyone!
This place was a disappointment and I would not stay there again or recommend it to friends or family.
The entry way has hazardous carpet
Light bulbs are burned out
No Joliet paper holder in one of the bathrooms
Lamps are dusty
Blinds are bent and some are missing hardware
Throw pillows are all in poor condition
Bath and wash towels are stained
Left handle of bathroom sink can fall off
Entry way needs fresh paint
I am sorry this guest was disappointed. MANY people LOVE this unit. The kitchen has been completely re-modeled and is is beautiful. The bathroom vanities have also been updated to granite. Each room now also has a tv. I apologize if the unit was dusty. Many of the 'cleaning' items will be taken care of during the fall clean. This guest could have called at any time and I would have taken care of these items for him.
Good place to stay
This was good place to stay. We had 8 adults which was really pushing the limits. I would say it is more suitable for a 2-4 adults plust 2-4 kids.

A cleaning fee of $130.00 is charged. The Iron Horse fee is $10 PER night. I have included this fee in the nightly rental. I do collect and hold a $250 damage deposit check. Please send an inquiry and I can e-mail back the details. Credit card payments accepted through pay pal for a 3% fee. If you choose this option, a separate payment request with be sent to the email address provided directly from pay pal. One night stays are only CONSIDERED.
