About the property

Villa, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Enjoy the tranquility and beauty on Kiawah Island located approximately 21 miles from historic Charleston, South Carolina. Kiawah Island is an exclusive private island community which offers over 10 miles of sandy beach, a multitude of family recreational activities, and access to five championship golf courses and two tennis villages. Kiawah Island is renowned for its natural beauty and preserved wildlife.

You will feel at home in this newly renovated (2017) spacious three bedroom, three bath villa which sleeps 8. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, and the other two BR's have both a Queen and Twin. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. Come enjoy the wonderful screened porch which overlooks the lagoon. You can read a book or simply enjoy the remarkable wildlife which is in constant motion around the lagoon. The beach is approximately 300 yards from the villa which is about a three minute walk.

This is a direct to owner rental and therefore does not have access to Kiawah resort pools.

We are available year round. During the summer, we require a Saturday to Saturday stay, but during the off season, we offer special long weekend rates. You may want to inquire about special winter rates.

About The Owner

We have owned villas on Kiawah Island for 20 years, and have rented to folks from all over the world.

The Owner purchased this villa in 1998

Why The Owner chose East Beach

Kiawah is an attractive vacation property because it offers a beautiful beach, great golf and tennis, one of a kind natural scenery, and is located close to Historic Charleston. Our villa however is not rented through The Kiawah Resort and therefore does not have access to their amenities (pools).

What makes this villa unique

Our villa is located in The Turtle Cove section of Kiawah and is very close to: The Beach, The Sancturary, Night Heron Park, and East Beach Village.

Our screened porch offers a wonderful view of a lagoon where birds, turtles, and alligators put on a daily show. However, I do not rent through Kiawah Resorts and therefore do not have guest access to any of their facilities (pools etc).

Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the island, and location, near Charleston. The Villa was roomy and had nice decor.

"Pet friendly" attracted us. We enjoyed the lagoon and walking to the beach. Ned and Mary were helpful and answered all questions promptly! Thank you for a great week.

Wonderful Christmas!

  • 4 of 5

Overall my family and I had a very enjoyable Christmas at this villa! The surroundings on Kiawah Island are absolutely amazing! The general store and Freshfields shoppes were super convenient for last minute needs. The villa itself was very well appointed on the island. My mother in law and I both loved how the villa had been updated! Our family had 5 adults and 2 kids and we all had plenty of space in our sleeping arrangements. The lagoon view from the living/dining room and master bedroom are stunning. I would have given 5 stars but the villa wasn’t as clean as we would have preferred. Our family will definitely be back to Kiawah Island in the future!

Excellent value.

  • 4 of 5

Our family thoroughly

enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay in this unit. It was our second visit there. We found the beds comfortable, kitchen well stocked with cookware, excellent deck overlooking the lagoon and an easy walk or bike ride to the beach.

The living room furniture is a bit worn and the chairs not conducive to comfortable seating. And the unit is in need of a through cleaning as there is mildew on the shower curtains and grout of all bathrooms.

But well worth the cost.

Very Disappointed

  • 1 of 5

This condo was misrepresented and was not clean upon arrival. Our party had to clean the unit just to make it semi-livable. IT IS IN NEED OF A THOROUGH CLEANING.

The bathtubs/showers in all three bathrooms were in desperate need of updating. The shower curtains and bathtub surrounds were full of mold. The accent rugs and bedroom carpets were very dirty and the walls had holes in them. It looks like the condo has not been painted in a very long time. There were various items, including dirt, debris and underwear behind the guest room dresser. There was dust and dirt everywhere. We were charged a cleaning fee as part of the reservation and it appears there is little cleaning going on in this condo. If you plan to cook any meals, bring your own cookware as the pots and pans are old and very limited. In addition, there were dead and live cockroaches in the condo. I have photos of these issues, but I am unable to post them on VRBO. I would not recommend this condo to anyone.
