Located 15 minutes from the cultural/entertainment amenities of Bellingham, terminus for the Alaska Ferry. Just 15 minutes from the Canadian border and 45 minutes to the slopes of Mt. Baker. Situated within two miles of a library, grocery store, and Nooksack Casino, known for great gaming and excellent food.
Great hiking, biking, and skiing, all within this clean, fully-furnished house. Sparkling new 1000 sq ft space tucked into a larger space used for shop/storage. Very private, yet only 100 yards from the main house across from the garden/orchard area. Cozy and clean, with all the features and conveniences you need for a night or a month: wireless high-speed internet, washer/dryer, cable TV, DVD player, full-size kitchen and lots of privacy.
We loved our 2 day stay at this cozy little cottage. The location was perfect for us to escape for a weekend. We skied Baker on Saturday and explored Bellingham on Sunday. The home was very clean and had a nice layout. Trish was quick to respond to all our questions and was a perfect host. We hope to stay again on our next trip through Bellingham.
Trish is a wonderful host and this home is beautiful and in great shape. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. I would be happy to stay here again. My reasons for a "4" rating instead of a "5" are that for me, this property was a bit far from Bellingham, the bed would have been too small for both me and my husband (we are both tall) and there is no dishwasher. If given the choice my rating would be a 4.5. Thanks Trish!
My wife and I stayed at this cozy little house for 6 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed all the comforts of home and the surrounding yard was beautiful. The location was perfect...very quiet...kind of centralized for our activities. Mt Baker was relatively close as was Canada. I would recommend and come back to this little house any day. Trish was very friendly and we enjoyed picking the blueberries on the property...nothing like fresh blueberry pancakes in the morning.
We stayed here for 3 nights and chose the location for access to hiking trails near Mt. Baker and also easy access to Vancouver. We found the house very comfortable and complete with everything, nicely furnished and decorated. The yard is also very nice. The location is quite private as well. The owner's 2 dogs are friendly greeters.
The moment we walked into the home we fell in love with it. Everything one could want was included. The kitchen had all the utensils you will need. The bedroom and the bathroom were large and comfortable. The washer/dryer came in handy. The best part was the time spent with our host Trish and her family, and sharing her garden and fruit from her trees. The home was convenient to Mt. Baker , Cascade Loop, Bellingham and Harrison Hot Springs in Canada, which is a short drive away. Also you can walk to Mt. Baker Winery if you want to do some wine tasting. When taking your walks you can pick local fruit. We made 3 apple pies and 2 plum pies which we shared with our host Trish and her family. We can't wait to come back next year. Our two week stay was exceptional. Don & Vicki from Georgia
My wife and I have had a great stay at this property! We highly recommend it to people for longer stay (we stayed total of 23 days!) due to its private setting, short drive to town and less than one hour to the beautiful Mt. Baker national park. Trish, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our summer retreat there and will consider come back again.
