About the property

Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

You will absolutely love our gulf-front condo. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from our southwest-facing balcony. All the living areas have ceramic tile except the bedrooms, which have Berber carpet. Our kitchen features white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. We have an open floor plan with great views of the ocean from the kitchen, dining area, and living area, as well as the master bedroom. We've just added a table with six chairs on the balcony for al fresco dining!

After having lived in our unit full-time for 18 months, we take pride in the fact that our unit is furnished as a home and not a rental unit. We work hard and we love being comfortable when we're at our condo.

The master bedroom features a king-sized bed with a TempurPedic mattress and new bedding in 2016. The master bath includes a large walk-in closet, two separate vanity areas, a large jetted soaking tub, a large walk-in shower, and a private toilet area.

The second bedroom features a queen-sized Marriott foam mattress. This bedroom connects to the shared hall bath. The third bedroom has a full-sized pillow-top mattress.

Having lived in Palacio full-time, we are very familiar with the building and the area. Perdido Key is an amazing area. If you love the way areas like Seagrove Beach and Seaside USED to be, then you'll love Perdido Key. Thanks to the state and national parks we have on the Key, we have miles of unspoiled beaches. You can actually ride down the highway and SEE the ocean!

We can recommend the best restaurants in the area. While our key is still unspoiled, there is plenty to do in the area if you have family members who are 'doers'. The FREE National Aviation Museum is very close, and we highly recommend it for all ages. For the shoppers in the family, the outlet mall in Foley has great bargains.

There are also lots of flea markets, antique stores, and consignment stores in the area. The Wharf in nearby Orange Beach offers restaurants, a movie theater, shopping, and a ferris wheel. Water sports, such as boating, wind surfing, and jet skis are available close by. We love our piece of the Key, and we believe you will, too!

Steve and I grew up in Athens, Georgia. Our family moved to Birmingham in 1989 and remained there until our move to Perdido in 2007. All of our children moved back to Birmingham, and we still own our family business there. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law, one daughter, and one precious granddaughter. God has blessed our family beyond measure. We are happy to be able to offer our beach condo to others.

3 Months In Paradise

I spent 3 great Months at Palacio on Period Key. It was an awesome stay, the condo was all I could ask for! The sun rises and sun sets from the balcony were absolutely stunning. Everyone I met were very friendly and the staff more than willing to help and kept all the common areas very clean! The location of Palacio is also perfect, being close to all amenities.

Nice accommodations, not great parking, beach a little crowded

For a sudden, short trip to the beach, this was a lifesaver. The accommodations were nice enough and the view from the balcony was great! Communications were not great. We didn't know about overflow parking (across busy road) and that it had an access code we didn't know about. The wifi info printed in instructions were not right. Had to contact the owner for both of these bits of info. There was never any mention of a parking mirror hanger for the car, but, luckily we were not towed. Check-out instructions did not list a time for check-out. For a three-bedroom condo, we were allotted one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one trash bag for the kitchen. That was irritating. Would have brought more if we had known. Finally, the beach was very crowded. Never enough chairs to be able to rent.

Cindy was easy to deal with and very responsive. Property was clean and well maintained.

If we travel to the area again we will definitely look into this property. Only thing I would change is the access to the room. Using a real key at the beach is a bit of an inconvenience. Other condos in the building have digital codes on the doors. Overall a very positive experience.
