Cozy House, fun time

  • 5 of 5

I stayed with some friends for a ski trip, we loved hitting the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. It is nice staying in a remote, private location but also only a 15 minute drive to okemo. Ward was very quick to respond to any questions we had, and was very helpful. All of the amenities advertised were provided. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again.

Winter Wonderland Weekend

  • 4 of 5

A group of seven friends and one dog stayed at Chez Doerschuck over a long weekend in January. It was just what we were looking for! A beautiful secluded area, with plenty of space for our pup to run around, yet the perfect distance from downtown Ludlow and Okemo Valley Resort. The house is older with lots of rustic charm and plenty of space to accommodate our larger group. The use of the wood stove and hot tub were special treats after a long day of outdoor activity. The house was well stocked with all the essentials (and then some) and Ward was quick to respond when any issues or questions came up. The wifi was flawless and it was nice having access to Roku, Netflix, etc. Cell service was nil, but we were able to use the landline to make out going local calls. There was even enough hot water for everyone's showers! The toilets were a bit slow to fill, but overall a great stay. The perfect place for a winter wonderland weekend!

Cozy Cabin with tons of Privacy and Very Close to Okemo Mtn.

  • 4 of 5

This is a great cozy cabin that has 3 bedrooms (2 upstairs, 1 downstairs) and 2 full bathrooms (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) which is great for three couples or family/friends. We stayed over NYE weekend, and it was a perfect location secluded and away from everything, yet only about 10 minutes to Okemo Mtn. or 45 min. to Killington for skiing/snowboarding. The driveway had plenty of parking for multiple cars. The dining room and living room were a great size for all 6 of us to hang out and be comfortable. The steps are a little steep/narrow to get upstairs- you just have to be careful. The hot tub was very clean and a nice amenity to have. The fire stove was also very nice to have and made the living/dining room very warm quickly. The full fridge/dishwasher/stove/microwave were great to have. We cooked every night we were there which was nice. Ward was very accommodating and his recommendations were helpful. He responded in a timely manner and returned our security deposit the day after we departed.

Privacy close to Okemo!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great house for our ski weekend at Okemo. The house is very cozy, had fantastic wifi and a warm and inviting Hot Tub right on the deck! Great quiet roads to walk our dog and lots of land for him to run around. Only 7 miles from Jackson Gore entrance - maybe 10 to the main base lodge and downtown Ludlow. Ward was very easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. The only possible down side was a very steep and narrow staircase to the upstairs bedrooms which would be tricky for someone with limited mobility - but there is a downstairs bedroom and bath as well. All in all a great find!

Perfect for a ski weekend

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for a weekend at Okemo, located just ten minutes away. The house was even bigger and cozier than it appears in the pictures, and it is far enough from the street and neighbors that it also affords a lot of privacy. The DVD collection is the biggest one I've ever seen, and the wood burning stove is in a room that is perfect for watching movies or sitting around and playing games. There is a grocery store about fifteen minutes away that sells firewood, which I highly recommend picking up before you arrive because once you get settled in at this place, you won't feel like leaving again for awhile. Despite below zero temperatures, the hot tub was nice and hot and a great way to relax at the end of each day. Ward was very friendly and easy to communicate with, and he provided us with all the information we needed for our stay. He was also quick to return our security deposit. We can't wait to return to this place!
