About Bill Christian

My name is Bill; my wife’s name is Cathy. We have lived in Ashland for the last 30 years, although I've lived here since I was a child. Cathy had moved up from Glendale CA to attend Southern Oregon University to become an RN. She was working part time for the Mt. Ashland Ski Resort when we met. We fell in love, eventually married, and had three beautiful girls. Ashland has been a good place to be raising a family. Together we enjoy hikes, bike rides, swimming, skiing both water and snow, boating, rafting, fishing, and camping and more. We love the four distinct seasons, and the colorful leaves of autumn are just beginning for this season, it soon will be a sight to behold.

Bill Christian purchased this house in 2006

Why Bill Christian chose Ashland

I've been owner manager of rental properties since 1981, although this is my first vacation rental. I've been doing this for a few years now and really love sharing it with most wonderful & interesting people I had ever met. I originally purchased this home for my dad who no longer is with us but loved it very much. I also enjoy meeting new people and sharing the great experiences of what this area has to offer.

What makes this house unique

This home is priced low and is conveniently located to downtown Ashland. We offer a large garden with organically grown foods during the growing season.

Very Homey Home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved staying in this cottage. We were visiting family and were able to have them over numerous times for dinner and games. Our grandchildren (8 & 11) both wanted to be here as much as they could. The bed and bedding is amazing! We both slept very well every night. While the kitchen doesn't have some of the most modern conveniences, it has everything we needed, and is quite charming. We walked into town almost daily. We will definitely stay again.

Nice and spacious place to stay

  • 4 of 5

It's quiet and private, yet close to town. The cottage is spacious. In fact, cottage is probably a misnomer. It's well appointed with everything you need. The hot tub is nice and Bill is always on hand if I need anything, though he also gives me my privacy.

Best Repeat Choice of stay!Love the flowers;the quiet;the friendship

  • 5 of 5

So happy to come back to this amazing space. Has everything one would need for a month's stay and could not be in a better location. Wish we were neighbors and could experience this great Family next door year round. Will be visiting again and again as this is the deal of deals in Ashland.

Don't miss this one

  • 5 of 5

We had a magical time at this place. The house is great and very roomy for a one bedroom. It is arranged such that two can sleep in bedroom and a guest or child can sleep on the large foldout couch in the living/dining room area. The place is very nicely furnished and cared for. The flower gardens are lovely in spring and summer, and the vegetable garden was a real treat for us. Bill is a great host. The view of the surrounding countryside is great and the place is a 15 minute walk from Shakespeare and downtown fun. The bikes are nice to as is the new, large hot-tub.

Fantastic cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful stay in the cottage - everything was so comfortable and cozy for our winter stay in Ashland. We felt very much at home in the spacious and well-kept environment. Bill is most generous and his hospitality is embracing. Enjoyed the walks to town and the railroad district. Highly recommend!
