We loved it!
Very nice house right on the beach. We went during the week in early November and practically had the beach to ourselves. The crowd did pick up on Friday and the weekend, but it wasn't crowded then either. Our agenda was mostly to just be at the beach and it was perfect. The kids (5,6,8) loved hunting crabs and shells. We saw some dolphins. The other side of the duplex was empty until the weekend and I was worried that we would be too loud, but they said they never heard us (and we were not very quiet).
We did have to buy extra toilet paper. The shelves in the fridge are not made for anything heavy (they fell off a few times and we had some glass break). And we found ourselves wishing for more silverware when there were 8 in the house. But there is a little market less than 5 min away and they had all we needed and more.
The owners brought by some extra beach toys for the kids and we bought some kites at that market and we had plenty to do.
I'd stay here again for sure.
Great vacation home with beautiful views!!
We visited 11/8-11/12 and the house was wonderful! There was plenty of room for all of us and we were even able to accommodate my brother and his new wife for a couple of nights that surprised us with a visit. There was an issue with air conditioner in this unit and we ended up staying in the other side. Jo Dee was a pleasure to deal with and we are already planning our next trip. Having the beach right outside the door was wonderful! There were very few people on the beach this week so it was like having to only share the ocean with the Pelicans and dolphins we saw every morning!
Love* Returning guest!
This was our second stay here aND we loved it just as much as we did the first time! Hoping to return for a third time this upcoming spring/summer!
Love, Love, Love this house!!
My family and I absolutely love this house!! We have vacationed twice to Ft. Morgan with both times staying in this house. The view is beautiful and peaceful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!
A lovely duplex, right on the ocean side beach!
We stayed December 24-29th of 2013 - parents and two teens wanting to slow down and relax. Our first Christmas away from home her was wonderful. We got a tree at Lowes and made decorations for it with beach items. We loved that we were right on the ocean side beach (It is much nicer than the bay) and saw dolphins. We spent a great deal of time walking on the beach, seeing sunsets, and sitting on the porch. The kids had wifi and their own rooms and were very happy. We didn't do much sight seeing around the area because we loved being right on the beach. You can see the ocean from the master bedroom! Ten photos from this treasured trip are on canvases over our fire place at our home. We really only watched TV on the one rainy day. In the winter the beaches were not crowded. For most of our trip no one was next door. On the last day a nice family started their vacation next door. If you are staying a while, I would suggest bringing extra toilet paper and garbage bags and dish washer detergent because we needed to go get those. We made most of our meals... boiled lobster inside one night and traditional ham for Christmas dinner. Kitchen was well supplied. We brought extra throws that we used a lot on the porch since it was winter. It was nice to have a little bit of home. They have a heater if it gets cold.
We stayed here over the Christmas holiday, and it has been great. Amazing sunrises in the am, clean beaches, and friendly guests. We watched dolphins right from the front porch. The house is beautiful, and the pictures on the website are accurate. Highly recommended!
