About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Come enjoy luxurious mountain living in the perfect vacation get-a-away. Relax in our deluxe, elegantly decorated, riverfront mountain home. Tongue and grove wood work with vaulted ceilings in the living and dining areas. This spacious “cabin” has over 2400 square feet, comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, and two stone fireplaces (gas). With two bedrooms upstairs (both with a queen size bed), a bunk room downstairs (two sets of bunk beds), and a big media room with its own fireplace, 42" flat screen TV, and pool table, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing family get-a-way.

Enjoy the sounds and beauty of the Chattahoochee River by day along with fantastic mountain views, and then cozy up to an inviting fire at night or simply stargaze on the back deck. After a busy day of hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, swimming or fishing in your own back yard, or strenuous shopping - soak your tired muscles and cares away in our covered four person hot tub.

The back deck is also perfect for grilling or simply enjoying all the beauty that nature has to offer. If the river and views aren’t enough, imagine the thrill of seeing a family of deer wandering the landscape. If you get lucky, you could even see a black bear! What could make your vacation more memorable?!

About Lee Fiata

My wife and I along with our two children, Kayla and Bryan, live in Atlanta, GA.

Lee Fiata purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Lee Fiata chose Helen

We chose this property for its unique combination of Chattahoochee River frontage and fantastic mountain views. It's very peaceful and quiet. We also liked the finished lower level where our kids could hang out to watch TV or play pool while we relax upstairs.

What makes this cabin unique

We love just sitting out on the deck enjoying the mountain views, nature, and the sounds of the River. It's conveniently located to hiking, canoeing, Helen, Sautee, shopping and some great wineries and restaurants.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My family and I recently stayed at your wonderful cabin. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for a tremendous experience! We will definitely be back. We do this type of vacation every year and we rent cabins often. I just wanted to tell you that you had by far the best set up of anywhere we've ever stayed. The big plus for us was the information packet you sent out with the instructions and rules. We had no doubt of what your expectations were and for that brief time we stayed, we felt it was our home. I loved the view from the deck, sound of the river, and of course the abundance of deer in the area. Again I must say that it was by far the best vacation we have ever taken as a family. We had four kids with us and they basically took over the lower game room. They had a blast. Again thank you and I look forward to doing this again.

Beautiful cabin, private setting, with serenity of the river close enough to hear

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend with our 2 best friends, our dogs. The cabin was bigger than we needed but now we know where to stay next time with the whole family!

Excellent cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. It had everything we needed. It is close enough to town you can get there quickly but once you’re at the cabin you don’t know there are neighbors around. The sound of the river carries up to the cabin so you can sit on the deck and feel like you’re right by the river.

Peace and Serenity with a View

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful location! We communed with the peace and quiet of nature while being so near to towns and amenities. The cabin was huge, clean and had every necessary appointment that one could imagine. We've stayed in a number of cabins over the past ten years, but this one was by far the best. From the moment that we walked in the door we felt at home. It's cozy and comfortable and everything we needed was at our fingertips. Despite the fact that we had a rather rainy stay, we could still get out or sit in the spa, play pool, or read on the porch listening to the lapping water below. The literature provided in the cabin was helpful in choosing outings and restaurants and was very much appreciated.

This cabin was a wonderful retreat and we hope to return soon.

Great place!!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was great. The view of the mountains and water was amazing. We evacuated because of hurricane Irma and the weather was worse in Helen than in Rincon where we live.

Absolutely perfect.

  • 5 of 5

The house really was a 'slice of heaven'.

Everything as advertised, extremely clean and very comfortable.

Our 1st morning we saw a bear walking past the window, what a wonderful start to our vacation, and we frequently saw the neighborhood deer wandering by.

We visited Helen, hiked Anna Ruby falls and went white water rafting in Clayton. If you want to go white water rafting Southeastern Expeditions is 1st class, excellent guides, fun and beautiful scenery, well worth the drive.

The tubes were a huge hit with our family and we frequently took them down to the river in Helen, a perfect way to cool off in the afternoon heat.

We enjoyed being around the house so much we spent every evening there, watching for the wildlife and just enjoying everything the house had to offer, it really did feel like home, if only for a few days.

A perfect place to spend a great vacation.
