About Bina Breitner
I grew up in Arizona and returned gratefully after spending decades in cold harsh climates where I dreamed every winter of southwestern sunsets, bougainvillea, and palm trees. Now I have them again, and I invite you to share them. My house has a fully equipped apartment that goes directly out to the solar-heated pool and large garden patio with a pergola and places to bask or eat. There's a separate private entry to the guest unit, as well as access to good laundry machines only steps away. Everything is included. Guests have their own wireless internet, security alarm, premium cable TV, heating/cooling thermostat, and cooking facilities. There's plenty of closet space, good light, and a high-end Stearns & Foster queen bed in the bedroom. Cleaning service is available if you want it.
Bina Breitner purchased this Apartment in 2005
Why Bina Breitner chose San Clemente
I bought the house because I fell in love with its grace and privacy, its protected gardens, and its location in one of the original Tucson neighborhoods, San Clemente, which is now a nationally designated 'historic' district. The house is from 1938; the apartment was added later but is in the same style. The location is excellent -- it's quiet but central, with easy access to restaurants, parks, zoo, tennis, golf, shopping, biking, hiking, and the university.
What makes this Apartment unique
This location has the advantage of being centrally located but very private. It's an oasis in town.

It’s a clean, cozy one bedroom portion of a house with all the amenities we could want thoughtfully supplied. Bina is a great hostess - We have enjoyed her hospitality and will return .
This is a simply furnished apartment conveniently in central Tucson. My husband and I stayed here a number of days and found it exceedingly comfortable for two people for an extended stay: a very well-stocked kitchen, good lighting, lots and lots of storage in closets, drawers, kleenix, good bath and bed linens, comfortable bed, an easy-to-use heating and cooling system, and of course, the fabulous patio and pool. Bina told us the patio area would be for us while we were there, so we felt comfortable being out there. Sadly, it was too cold to try the pool. Clearly, Bina has thought about the comfort of her guests. Since we were there a number of days it was great to have access to her washer and dryer. We appreciated that Bina wanted to be there to greet us when we arrived.
Thank you -- I do think about the comfort of my guests. Since I just put the new remote cover on the pool, some of winter's cold got into the water before it was covered. The solar heat plus that cover should make it now warm enough to swim by March, maybe even by February.
I'm so glad you enjoyed staying here. Bina
Wonderful location older casita very well equipped in quiet neighborhood friendly responsive owner
This casita was perfect for using as a base to get around Tucson. Easy access to museum area downtown and performance venues and quick drive to hiking. Neighborhood was quiet. Bina the owner was quick to answer questions. We had a great stay
The property was remarkable! Every need was met. Very clean and elegant. I would suggest grab bars in the shower.
That’s a good suggestion. I’ll do it. Thank you!
Very nice place to stay in Tucson
The property was exactly as described, but the description doesn't quite convey how nice this place is. The house is extra clean and just the right size for two people. The kitchen is well provisioned for cooking and eating, and it was nice to have a private "den" area separate from the bedroom. The property is in a nice residential neighborhood that is convenient to everything in the Tucson area. It was too cool to enjoy a swim during our stay, but the pool area is beautiful and a relaxing place to sit. Bina was easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. Thanks for a great week in Tucson, Bina.
Great central location for exploring Tucson. Surprisingly spacious and comfortably furnished for everything you could want for either a short or long stay. Owner is on-site and readily available to replenish supplies or offer advice. A list of locations for food shopping and restaurants was provided. The property is beautifully landscaped, private and quiet. I would definitely recommend this place. You have your own thermostat for comfortable climate control. I especially liked having a desk in the separate den/TV room for setting up my computer. Lots of nice touches that made this place very comfortable and a pleasure to have found. Pool is beautiful to look at but it was still too cool to use in mid February.
Thank you. It gives me pleasure to share a compound I love, and I enjoy meeting people like you! I'm glad you were comfortable and felt supported at this "home away from home."
The apartment is conveniently located in 'Central' Tucson, about 4 miles from the University of Arizona and with easy access to downtown, the Foothills, hiking in the Catalina mountains or Sabino Canyon, and (one block away) Reid and Randolph Parks with tennis, golf, biking, an excellent zoo, and many indoor activities. Tucson has more than its share of good restaurants (supported by its many visitors). The city's wonderful art-movie house ('The Loft') is nearby, as are several malls with shops and movie complexes. The neighborhood itself is catalogued as nationally 'Historic' and has mostly professional inhabitants. There are no sidewalks or streetlights; it's very pleasant for walking.
