About Bina Breitner

I grew up in Arizona and returned gratefully after spending decades in cold harsh climates where I dreamed every winter of southwestern sunsets, bougainvillea, and palm trees. Now I have them again, and I invite you to share them. My house has a fully equipped apartment that goes directly out to the solar-heated pool and large garden patio with a pergola and places to bask or eat. There's a separate private entry to the guest unit, as well as access to good laundry machines only steps away. Everything is included. Guests have their own wireless internet, security alarm, premium cable TV, heating/cooling thermostat, and cooking facilities. There's plenty of closet space, good light, and a high-end Stearns & Foster queen bed in the bedroom. Cleaning service is available if you want it.

Why Bina Breitner chose Tucson

I bought the house because I fell in love with its grace and privacy, its protected gardens, and its location in one of the original Tucson neighborhoods, San Clemente, which is now a nationally designated 'historic' district. The house is from 1938; the apartment was added later but is in the same style. The location is excellent -- it's quiet but central, with easy access to restaurants, parks, zoo, tennis, golf, shopping, biking, hiking, and the university.

What makes this apartment unique

This location has the advantage of being centrally located but very private. It's an oasis in town.

delightful oasis

  • 5 of 5

Great central location for exploring Tucson. Surprisingly spacious and comfortably furnished for everything you could want for either a short or long stay. Owner is on-site and readily available to replenish supplies or offer advice. A list of locations for food shopping and restaurants was provided. The property is beautifully landscaped, private and quiet. I would definitely recommend this place. You have your own thermostat for comfortable climate control. I especially liked having a desk in the separate den/TV room for setting up my computer. Lots of nice touches that made this place very comfortable and a pleasure to have found. Pool is beautiful to look at but it was still too cool to use in mid February.

Very nice place to stay in Tucson

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as described, but the description doesn't quite convey how nice this place is. The house is extra clean and just the right size for two people. The kitchen is well provisioned for cooking and eating, and it was nice to have a private "den" area separate from the bedroom. The property is in a nice residential neighborhood that is convenient to everything in the Tucson area. It was too cool to enjoy a swim during our stay, but the pool area is beautiful and a relaxing place to sit. Bina was easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. Thanks for a great week in Tucson, Bina.

Lovely Stay!

  • 4 of 5

Our stay in the garden apartment contributed to a fine vacation in Tucson. Our host was gracious and attentive to our needs. The apartment is clean, centrally located and compact with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable bed. The highlight for my husband and me was sitting in the Mediterranean walled garden by the pool each afternoon. It is a place of beauty and serenity. We would recommend this apartment to family and friends and would stay there again ourselves.

Excellent Stay

  • 5 of 5

This cute cottage is very clean and very secure. It is roomy, tastefully decorated, has an extremely well appointed kitchen, and delightfully comfortable bed. The beautiful patio area with it's foliage (hence delightful birds in the trees) and pool were an extra bonus. We also enjoyed the neighborhood for taking morning and evening walks.

Our interests are nature and history, so in our week-long stay in Tucson our most notable activities were the Kartchner Caverns (~1 hour SE of Tucson), the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the U of A Biosphere 2, and Tucson Bike Tours (history tour of downtown Tucson via bicycle).

Bina is a most gracious hostess. We would recommend this property to our friends and stay again on our next visit to Tucson.

Just Right

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Tucson was just what we needed even though the midwest winter we were escaping never really materialized this year. The space was just right for the two of us, and the location allowed us to explore the city, university, and wonderful parks with very reasonable drives. The owner was welcoming and helpful.

The apartment is conveniently located in 'Central' Tucson, about 4 miles from the University of Arizona and with easy access to downtown, the Foothills, hiking in the Catalina mountains or Sabino Canyon, and (one block away) Reid and Randolph Parks with tennis, golf, biking, an excellent zoo, and many indoor activities. Tucson has more than its share of good restaurants (supported by its many visitors). The city's wonderful art-movie house ('The Loft') is nearby, as are several malls with shops and movie complexes.

The neighborhood itself is catalogued as nationally 'Historic' and has mostly professional inhabitants. There are no sidewalks or streetlights; it's very pleasant for walking.
