About The Owner

Going to Organic Farmers Market in upcountry Makawao is one of our favorite things on Saturdays!

The Owner purchased this condo in 2009

Why The Owner chose South Maui

We first visited Maui over 25 years ago, and loved it. When we started visiting annually, then more often, we FELL IN LOVE WITH IT! We searched for almost 2 years to find this property, and love it. We are only the 3rd owners, and it has never been a vacation rental prior to this year. We love to share it with others when we are not able to be there.

What makes this condo unique

It is less than a 3 minute walk to the beach and park. One of the best (yet safest) beaches on Maui. Soft white sand beach, yet rocky coral reefs at both ends for excellent snorkeling. Not only fish and turtles, but also rays! The beach is excellent for children as well, with life guards on duty all day until 5 PM! In the late afternoon, waves often come up to 'boogie board' (provided in our unit). Less than a mile to famed Wailea shops, golf, and dining! Less than 30 minutes from the airport. We love driving on weekdays to the Farmer's Market in North Kihei for huge tomatoes, fresh Kula corn, Maui avocados and tropical salsa for our fresh tuna! The fresh macadamia nut pesto is a 'must try.'

What a fantastic time we had in Kihei, Maui, staying at Mary and Steve’s wonderful condo in the Maui Parkshore. It was our “home away from home” and we couldn’t have been happier. The condo is very large and beautifully decorated with spacious rooms and a great kitchen. We enjoyed barbequing most nights and having time to chat with other friendly guests in the complex and enjoyed the outstanding pool that was kept so very clean. Our highlight of the condo was the large lanai on which we had our early morning coffee and at the end of each day watch the beautiful sunsets. The condo is only steps away from a great beach to boogie board and snorkel, as well as take wonderful walks on the beach walkways. It was close to restaurants and the best cinnamon buns to compliment the Kona coffee each morning. We enjoyed our vacation so much this year and want to thank Steve and Mary so much for sharing their wonderful home with us. We can’t wait to go back next year!

Great place.

Upon first opening the door, we thought "oh no I forgot to check "non smoking" box" but after opening the windows and the beautiful lanai doors we were able to air things out and enjoyed our stay. The entire complex is non smoking but someone has most likely smoked in this condo at somepoint- Febreeze is a great product with that. Super location and well stocked. Beautiful bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen. 2nd bedroom is a little small and stuffy. Hard to get cool. Air conditioning would have been a perfect addition . Pool is great, along with shuffleboard. Lots of things to make it like home- spices/dishes/ great washer and dryer/toys/ beach chairs and towels. Very nice place. Would definitely recommend it after it is aired out. We will definitely book this unit again, now that we know the trick.

Owner's Response: Aloha Susan. We are so sorry to hear about the stuffiness and likely smoking issue. Yes, the entire complex is non-smoking, including all public areas and lanais. This is enforced as much a possible, but violations may slip through. We have never had this issue before. Mary is very sensitive to smoke, and we certainly would have noticed the issue. I'm sure it will air out over the next couple of guests. I does get closed up between guests, and depending on the length between guests, may get stuffy. We are glad enjoyed your stay in Maui and at our second home, despite the issue. Our goal is to ensure all of our guests have an enjoyable worry free vacation. Great location! Close to beautiful beaches, shopping and restaurants.

Very well maintained. Condo has been nicely updated. The only missing thing is recycling bins.

The complex used to have recycling bins, but they had an issue with undesirables coming on to the property to rummage through the bins for containers to collect the refund. When we are at the unit, we collect recyclables in the unit and take to the recycle / redemption center every week or two. But we don't expect guests to spend vacation time doing that. Comfortable home-away-from-home in ideal location

Two couples stayed here for two weeks in March 2017. The unit is well kept, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for meals and beaching. Kitchen has all new appliances. We felt at home here. It has a nice view to the ocean from the lanai, where we had all our meals. Kamaole III beach is directly across the street, while shops and restaurants are an easy walk away. The pool was lovely - never crowded - and the BBQs were great. Quiet hours are properly observed. Beds were comfortable and the unit was well aired and bright. The assigned parking in the lot made that stress-free. This is an ideal spot to explore Maui from: it's easy to get in an out with the bypass highway, and it's central to the island.

The owner, Steve McColley, was a pleasure to work with: very obliging and prompt responding. Instructions were clear and helpful. Great value for the price. We'd stay here again, no question!

Wonderful stay, great vacation.

The condo was in a terrific location. Right across from a beautiful park and beach. The view from the condo was also amazing. We had everything we needed, and loved the remodeled kitchen. Would definitely go back.

Our Stay at Maui Park Shore Unit 310

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The unt was clean and well stocked with things we needed, pots and pans, dishes etc. we loved eating out on the Lani and watching the sunset. Some of the folks around here tend to talk really loud, but you get used to it. It would have been nice to have the twin beds be another king or Queen, but we managed. We really enjoyed all the helpful suggestions about where to eat etc. Having the beach across the street was so convenient and a great place to snorkel. We really like to bike and would rent bikes next time. There really are a lot of places to bike, including the street right out the front of the unit with nice bike lanes. Overall, I would come back again. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant.

Exceptional location and views! We enjoyed our stay in this Condo, across from Kamaole Beach 3. The Condo was equipped with everything we needed...from the start of our days...linen, towels, kitchen supplies, and beach chairs, etc. Communication from owners was appreciated...especially with their advice for exploring the Island...we will certainly consider this for our return to Maui!
