This beautiful, spacious condo is in a quiet location next to the Makai Golf Course and close to two other golf courses, within walking distance from the St.Regis Princeville Resort, beaches and snorkeling sites, and near the Princeville Golf Clubhouse. It is almost 1500 square feet, very open and recently redecorated, beautifully and comfortably furnished in the Hawaiian style. Emmalani Court is a smaller condo complex with 5 buildings, 44 total units. This unit is an end, upstairs unit in a building with 9 other units, giving it more privacy than some condos.
It is within a 10 minute walk to Hideaways Beach and close to Queen's Bath for snorkeling with the sea turtles. You can sit on the lanai, sipping your latte or wine, and look out for whales in the ocean or watch the unusual behavior of albatross on the lawn. There is plenty of room for family dining or there are several nearby restaurants.
I am a General Contractor in Santa Barbara, CA. I grew up in San Jose, CA and graduated from UCSB with a degree in anthropology. I enjoy art and cultural diversity, and have traveled extensively in S. America and Asia. I love to surf and fish in my spare time, and Princeville is the ideal location to go for some great waves and beaches. My girlfriend and I visited and fell in love with the area and want to go back often.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2009
My girlfriend and I visited Princeville, Kauai and fell in love with the area. It is near great surfing spots at Hanalai Bay and around the island. It is also on the eighth hole of the Makai golf course, one of three golf courses in the area, and within walking distance of Queen's Bath, the St. Regis Princeville Resort Hotel, and bike or walking paths that go into the Princeville Shopping Center. This particular condo unit has a very spacious, light feel, with high ceilings and great views of the ocean and the golf course from the living room, bedroom and lanai. It is well built, high quality and seemed like an ideal destination for vacationers.
We have tried to make this a rental that you will want to come back to over and over. Everything has been updated and made to enhance your vacation. This unit has a fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and washer/dryer. The complex offers a pool with jacuzzi and clubhouse. It is near bike paths that go to the beach paths, to the St. Regis Princeville Hotel restaurant, or into town for shopping. If it's raining, you can sit and look out at the ocean view or relax with a movie, TV or book without feeling cooped up.
Sitting here on the lanai on a perfect morning, drinking coffee, watching a gorgeous sunrise, surrounded by all kinds of different birds on our last day of our vacation. We arrived to this beautiful island 13 days ago. Wow did the time go fast! During our stay we experienced a variety of weather, mostly sunny and comfortable along with some days of rain and wind. We explored many beaches, from Donkey Beach to Ke'e to the north. All different but all beautiful in their own special way. Hiking the Kalalau Trail on the Napali Coast, kayaking the Hanalei River, surfing near the Hanalei Pier (great for beginners like me), catching a tan, watching the sunsets or just eating a shaved ice at the Wishing Well in Hanalei town were some of our favorite activities. Wish we could stay longer, but have to go back to reality. Great times.
We had such a great time in your amazing place. It was more than we could have asked for and such a great location. If we only golfed too :)
We booked this condo for a few days in Princeville before a family reunion in Poipu. We really enjoyed the north shore and loved this condo.
The condo is spacious, comfortable, well laid out, very clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were sizeable. The kitchen is updated, roomy and well stocked with essentials. It was unusually humid during our stay so the A/C was great to have. There are also beach towels, chairs, coolers and umbrellas for use during your stay - very handy.
The location is very convenient to the Princeville shopping center, Hanalei, north shore beaches and the Makai Golf Course clubhouse. We played a few rounds on the beautiful Makai courses and the pro shop staff was fantastic. We took a short stroll to the cliff every evening to watch the sunset over Bali Hai.
Communication with the property manager was generally via email and they were friendly and responsive. I would definitely recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again when coming back to Princeville. Beautiful property and great location.
Beautiful and perfect accommodations in every way. The view is amazing, the condo is beautiful, and the location is perfect.
We've stayed at many rental properties in Hawaii but this one is by far the best we've stayed at. This does not feel like a " rental property". There are so many welcoming touches here that I don't know where to begin. I guess a good place to start is by thanking previous renters for maintaining this as if it was their own home. Gorgeous, comfortable furnishings, thoughtful amenities, gorgeous setting....thank you for this wonderful week Glen and Priscilla!
My daughter, son-in-law, one-year-old grandson, and I just spent a marvelous vacation on Kauai. Central to our enjoyment was being able to stay in this bright, clean, spacious, comfortable condo. It's an end unit, which adds to the sense of space and privacy. Because the two bedrooms and bathrooms are completely separate from each other, it's ideal for an extended family such as ours. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking our meals there. We particularly appreciated the lanai for star gazing on the warm nights. Even though we don't play golf, we liked the views of golf course and ocean, and the golf course is a fine place from which to view sunsets. Photographs included in the advertising of this property certainly do not overstate its desirability!
The location of the condo is great for walking to nearby beaches, restaurants, shopping, a children's playground, post office, and other amenities - all the while being able to see birds and smell flowers! Hanalei is a short drive away, as are many beautiful, secluded beaches and places of interest. Kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, and shave ice are all close by. To my mind, this north coast is the loveliest part of Kauai. We had one rainy day while we were there, and I must admit that it was good to be able to stay in, bake banana bread, and watch a movie on the large-screen television.
Our hope is to return to this same place before too long. Meanwhile, I would (and will!) certainly recommend this condo as a perfect place to stay.
Chances are you went to Kauai for some relaxation and peacefulness--this place HAS IT! Not only are the accomodations GREAT--new and modern everything (not like those 70s dingy condos you sometimes get stuck with), the amenities are just like at home and for me NICER! lol--with internet, cable, A/C, etc.a POOL (which is REALLY nice as most beaches on Kauai are not really swimming or lounging friendly--mostly for other water sports), AND the location is FANTASTIC!! Right in Princeville on the golf course, where you have an ocean view--not a peek a boo one either! lol--and a lanai (balcony) to enjoy it. Plus, what I thought was great was that we were within walking distance from the hotel (st. regis? or Hyatt--I forgot which) where you can enjoy the music, a cocktail, luxury surroundings, and a pretty much panaromic view of the sunset w/ the Kanapaal'i coast line in the backdrop! We went there almost every night! (Note: a couple nights we didn't see much of a sunset because of the clouds, but it still was a gorgeous, gorgeous, view!)
To be honest, the pictures didn't do it justice. I thought the pic's were nice, but when we got there, we were actually surprised--it was nicer than the pictures! So we thought we had scored! ha! Very clean, new, modern, higher end things. The owners were also very gracious and everything was as stated to us.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back for another trip!! We'd definitely use them again :) Hope this review helps you decide!
p.s. This is in Princeville on the North part of the island, which is really a good spot to be--especially if you are a hiker or a snorkeler. Anini Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on kauai and is just minutes away, and so are most trails into the kanapaal'i. If you stay in Poipu (where most others do if not Princeville), then you are A WAYS away and that's a problem when it turns night on the island. There is only ONE "highway"/road on that side of the island and very few or no street lights (and with the cloud coverage, it gets really dark). So being in princeville area is really a treat. I've stayed in a few places including Kapa'a as well...Princeville, prob. my fave! And this condo, great deal!
Museum in Lihue, massage available nearby, children's play area nearby, lighthouse in Kilauea not very far, local festivals and town celebrations with music and hula (location and time varies), slack key guitar concerts in nearby Hanalei, Botanic Gardens nearby on North Shore.
