Inspired by an Austrian Chalet, this is a large mountainside home on the Eagle Vail golf course, minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek.

Main level description: The main level has a dramatic cathedral ceiling with a wall of windows facing across the valley. It is an open floor plan with the kitchen, dining room and living room all interacting with each other. The living room has comfortable couches with a pair of side chairs, coffee table and other seating, all oriented toward a wood burning fireplace and the fabulous view. In this area and elsewhere in the home, you will find exposed beams which give the home a mountain lodge feel. The dining area is outfitted with a large wood table with 8 chairs. The kitchen has all the cooking utensils that one would need. There is an eating bar with 4 bar stools. There is also a large wrap around deck overlooking the golf course and the aspen filled mountains beyond and a charcoal grill for your outdoor cooking pleasure.

Bedroom descriptions: There is a master bedroom suite on the lower level with a queen sized bed, seating area and private balcony. The bathroom has twin sinks, walk in shower, and a double Jacuzzi.

The two bedrooms upstairs face the wooded mountainside with plenty of privacy. Each has a full bath. In one there is a king sized bed and there are twin beds in the other. The top of stair landing has a dramatic view of the open living area below and the front windows.

We have enjoyed staying at this special home the past two summers. (July 2013 & July 2014) It is the perfect mountain retreat. The home is at the end of the street, nestled into the hillside with a side deck adjacent to the golf course. The views are spectacular with wonderful sunshine entering through the two story windows. It's quiet and relaxing. Perfect for just spending time reading in the living room or outdoors on one of the decks. There are hiking trails just 300 feet from the side deck entrance. The home is very comfortable for a group. This year we had a total of 7 people. (Two in each bedroom and one on a living room sofa.) The house was built in the 80's and has not been updated. Everything is clean and in good working order, but not new. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, etc. There is a nice laundry room and large dining room table for group meals. Because the house is built into the hillside, there are a series of steeps required from the driveway to the entrance. We definitely plan to return in the future! It is our favorite Colorado retreat.

Beautiful, spacious, quiet accommodations at an EXCELLENT value!

  • 5 of 5

The house is spacious, comfortable, very clean and very relaxing! We throughly enjoyed our stay. It's very close to BC and just off the beaten path. It's easy to get to, but provided an incredible place for our family to really enjoy a "family vacation". There were only 4 of us, but you could easily have 8 (even two families of four would have plenty of room). We saved a lot of money by cooking in the full kitchen. The table sits eight and the family room can comfortably seat 10. Be prepared to climb a few stairs to the front door (not really bad at all, my 9 and 11 year olds didn't even complain), but it's totally worth the view you get from the family room with vaulted ceilings. There is NO DOUBT WE WILL STAY AT THIS HOUSE AGAIN if it's available. Thanks for a great stay! Michael from St. Louis!

Great House, Great View

  • 5 of 5

Stayed 19 days and it was wonderful. Easy to communicate with owner when first arrived to smooth out getting to know the place. All plumbing worked great, kitchen was well stocked, lots of dishes and utensils. Great location, right between Beaver Creek and Vail. No complaints. Have fun.

This House Is Incredible

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for two families. Seven people very comfortably enjoyed this very well kept house. Every room has a bathroom. We were minutes from Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon and a 40 minute drive to Leadville and the 14ers. When we return to CO we will certainly inquire about this property.

Thank you owners
