Property description

We are so happy to share our charming little home built in 1904 in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. It has been completely restored with all the modern-day amenities but retains old-world charm with its high ceilings, original woodwork and crown molding. We have tastefully furnished the house and included everything that anyone could need to feel right at home. The beautiful new kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with spices, basic food items, and condiments. Gorgeous hard-wood floors throughout the house make for a very clean environment. The property includes a detached two-car garage which is accessed from the alley with walkout into privacy-fenced backyard with towering shade trees. A sidewalk from the garage leads to the back door of the house where you will find a great patio area with a BBQ grill ready for your use,

For your peace of mind, all locks are re-keyed prior to new arrivals.

FREE first morning do-it-yourself breakfast will be provided.


Location: We are less than a mile to the US Olympic Training Center and Memorial Hospital, 1 mile from Colorado College, and 9 blocks from Memorial Park and Prospect Lake where you can enjoy the Labor Day Hot Air Balloon Festival and the city's Fourth of July fireworks celebration. Time wise, we are 7 minutes from Old Colorado Historic District; 10 minutes from the famous 5-star Broadmoor Hotel and the World Arena; 15 minutes from Colorado Springs Airport, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Garden of the Gods, and Seven Falls; 20 minutes from Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, and US Air Force Academy; 45 minutes from the Royal Gorge; one hour from Cripple Creek; and one hour from Denver, with quick and easy access to I-25.

For hikers, runners and bicyclists, Shooks Run Trail is just 2 blocks west of our house and connects to the Pikes Peak Greenway. If you plan to bring bicycles, you will definitely be in the right spot. With a two-car garage, there is plenty of space for storing those bikes. If it's walking you enjoy, Shooks Run Trail winds through the beautiful, tranquil Shooks Run Park just blocks from the house.

Our little home is perfect for an individual or couple for extended stays or romantic getaways. It is very cozy and comfortable. No attention to detail has been missed. About the owner: My husband and I moved from Seattle/Wichita in 2004, because the city offered everything we both wanted as we started our new lives together. We love Colorado Springs and are very excited about sharing our city and its surrounding area. There is so much to do and see here. A simple drive in the mountains never fails to rejuvenate our spirits.

We chose Colorado for it's natural beauty, great weather, and multitude of outdoor activities. From our home, you will be in the center of everything. Enjoy hiking, bicycling, skiing, fishing, and exploring local history. You will also have quick and easy access to I-25, and you can be in Denver in no more than an hour for any sporting event or concert.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
We are located in a lovely, quiet, established neighborhood just 7 blocks east of the downtown area. Walk to your choice of outside cafes, many fine dining establishments, museums, parks, charming boutiques, nightclubs, the Penrose Library, the Fine Art Center, and the Pikes Peak Center. Fifty Fifty Coffee House is just three blocks away. Great coffee drinks (the coffee is roasted next door at Switchback Roasters), breakfast sandwiches, organic pastries and gluten free foods. If you haven't already noticed, this truly is a charming neighborhood.
