On the Beach, you will find the Sapphire Beach Bar which provides liquid refreshment and grilled sandwiches along with live entertainment.
Parasailing and jet skis are available at the marina along with out-island and BVI excursions. The rental shed on the beach has all manner of beach toys.
Red Hook is just 1 mile from the condo and has dozens of restaurants, bars and shops, along with Moe's Market for and the Ferry to St.
The islands are recovering well from last year’s two hurricanes, the power and private high-speed internet is working at 98% with occasional outages the norm. I have a service call pending on the TV and landline phone for late March. Cell service is working at about 85% I’d estimate, ATT, Verizon and Sprint are doing the best job - other carriers often include the USVI in calling plans but it's a good idea to check your plan.
The condo is close to the beach, condo office, pool, restaurant, lending library, outdoor shower, mail room, marina services and laundry. Close to everything but still quiet and private in-condo high-speed wireless network. I-pod dock and Bluetooth stereo speaker, flat screen Hi-def TV, DVD, in-room safe and custom coded keyless entry. End unit is especially nice because nobody will be disturbing you by walking by your door. End unit porches also have a side window for more light and air flow. The bathroom was remodeled in 2013. All new kitchen and living room tile in 2014. Extensive furniture upgrades and new bed 2016.
The condo overlooks a quiet marina with stunning down-island views of St. John, the BVI and many other smaller islands. Watch the yachts come and go while lounging on your private balcony or take a short 1500 foot stroll to beautiful world-renowned Sapphire Beach AND THE NEW FOR 2017 SAPPHIRE BEACH BAR by the St Thomas Restaurant Group - search the web for SBBVI. Our dual air conditioned walk-in level condo sleeps four with a king-size bed in the bedroom and a pullout queen in the living area. We also supply an electric airbed if guests #3 & 4 don’t appreciate sharing the same bed. The kitchen is reasonably stocked and there is seating for 6 at the teak dining table. Linens are included as well as beach towels, snorkel gear and an outing cooler.
Sapphire village offers two pools, one just steps from your door alongside - SLICE VI CRAFT PIZZA & CAFÉ. The marina offers almost every Water Sport under the sun from BVI or sunset cruise to fishing, para-sailing. Popular charter options include Yachts: Breakaway, New Horizons and New Horizons II or choose a half or full day fishing charter with Double Header or on Abigail III with Captain Red Bailey. Red hook is less than a mile down the road with boutiques, numerous restaurants, a grocery store and the ferry to nearby St. John.
Summers are a great time to visit, crowds are light, the beaches are delightful and the weather is near perfect. Even in the heat of summer, the V.I. has never recorded a temperature over 99 degrees. Give the V.I. a visit in the offseason, you will not regret it.
