Do you believe in Kabauter, Heinzelmännchen and Wichtel? ... Then you are right here!
A part of our house was already, when it was first mentioned at the Land Registry in 1850. It has always been owned by our family, Kaminbauer- and Zimmermannsfamilie and has always been the family rumor that the house is inhabited by "good spirits" and have to do on almost 1,000 square meters of enclosed land lots of .... ,
Our Kabauterhaus can accommodate 4 people (a double waterbed with a mattress + 2 single beds), a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room with fireplace.
The Kabauterhaus is located on a large plot with fireplace and swing grill, large yard, large garden behind the barn, which has only natural boundaries and a small pond with koi and goldfish, which is not secured. In the evening the bats look past and every now and then cats, weasels and fox scurry around the corner.
The cottage is located directly on the famous and popular Halfterweg from Diez to Obernhof in the village center. In the village there is a quaint village pub including a small grocery store where you can get fresh bread in the morning and drink a nightcap in the evening. Diez can be reached by car in two minutes, but also a walk over the St. Peter's Church has its charm and takes just a leisurely 20 minutes. Limburg can be reached in 10 minutes motorized and the ICE train station is 15 minutes.
Our Lahntal is particularly popular for canoe trips, SUB (standup paddeling) and cycling tours, but also mountain bikes and climbing fans get their money. For indoor sports there is an indoor swimming pool, an ice sports hall and a tennis hall directly in Diez. Those who prefer to be active outdoors, we have next to the Baggersee, the Herthasee and various outdoor pools, a beautiful landscape with many castles and palaces to offer.
Unfortunately we lost the bishop Tebarz von Elzt in Limburg, but also the cathedral and Tebarz's remains are worth a visit. Culinary you will come in Diez and Limburg fully at your expense and for tips, we are always happy to help.
The Kabauterhaus is family run and we speak beside Kabautisch and High German, also English, French and Dutch.
